| Abstract: | Common structure rules(CSR) for bulk carriers entered into force on April 1,2006,which brought new challenges to the ship structure design.This paper discusses in detail several key points of structural analysis for bulk carriers based on CSR rules,such as rule strength analysis consisting of flooding strength,combined buckling,reinforcement for steel coil,etc.and direct rule FEM strength analysis.The experience feedback from the ship design is taken into account as well. |
