| Abstract: | Based on a comprehensive review of suction pile foundation used in the deepwater oil and gas fields development engineering in the world,this paper highlighted the merits of suction pile foundations compared with others.Some information in design and installation of suction pile foundation was introduced.According to the possible development scheme in South China Sea,the applications of this foundation were prospected. |
