| Abstract: | This paper introduced the development background,function and effect of the automatic identification system(AIS),analyzed emphatically the influence of the AIS upon the application of vessel traffic service system(VTS).AIS can expand the coverage area of VTS,is helpful for communication between the ship and shore,raising efficiency of search and rescue and collecting the maritime disaster evidence. |
