| Abstract: | In this article, a brief introduction of the current world container fleet and order-book, as well as the development course to large scale for containership is given. Based on the order-book, those main types of containership in current fleets and the reasons to be popular are analyzed. Also, the design trend of containerships at raising container loading, high speed of handling, environment protection and low maintenance cost is analyzed. |
