Research of the Design of Deck Camber Based on the Goal

Based on oil tankers and bulk carriers, detailedly introduced the types and action of deck camber, and deeply discussed how to design the deck camber for some types of ship. For the purpose of ships with deck camber, presented an efficient formula for the calculation of hull girder longitudinal bending stress for the upper deck. Also research the height of sheer strake standing out of the upper deck. Arrived at a conclusion that the design of deck camber is to be based on the goal of the utilization for removing the water on weather deck and convenient construction.
