Precision Striking of Shipboard Long-Range Weapon System

The development of the present shipboard long-range precision striking missiles is introduced. The U. S. cruise missile Tomahawk is taken as an example to describes the background of design of precision striking weapon system, and by what means it facilitate the pre- cision strike and how it impacts on the tactical operation. The importance of developing this ability for precision striking by PLAN is highlighted. A vision on the development of PLAN precision striking capability is also addressed.
