Abstract:The design concept of combination of management and control was taken in the new generation of Synthetic Automation of Marshalling yard (SAM) system to implement the intellectualization, informatization and automation of transportation and production command in marshalling yard. In view of the problems of complex operation and challenging safety management in the Kunming East Marshalling Station of China Railway Kunming Group Co. Ltd., the Kunming Group Co. Ltd. has developed the SAM system shunting operation management platform of Kunming East Marshalling Station jointly with the Signaling and Communication Research Institute of China Academy of Railway Sciences Corporation Limited. The paper focused on the construction of the platform, on this basis, expanded and improved the function to enhance the transportation organization level and safety control ability of the Marshalling Station.
