China Classification Society (CCS) Shanghai Branch has a survey team named with eight young people, aged 30. The team was assigned by CCS Shanghai Branch to conduct ship survey in Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co. Their excellent work has won a wide recognition and was honored “Ship Survey Pioneer”. With excellent technology and team work spirit, they have offered satisfactory services to customers. In recent years, this team has fulfilled over 10% of the total shipbuilding tonnage in China.  相似文献

On 3 May 2003,a COSCO cargo carrier “Fu Shan Hai“ collided with a Polish containership in the sea east of Denmark and sank later. It was reported that the insurance premium for M/V “Fu Shan Hai“ is as high as US$30m. It is the ever large claim case in the marine insurance history of the People‘s Insurance Company of China (PICC). Though PICC launched its emergent compensation procedure and paid 70m yuan (RMB) to COSCO, this is far from enough to fill the hole. The “Fu Shan Hai“ accident gave a hard strike on the marine insurance market, worsening the difficult situation of marine insurance in China. In recent years, we have often heard the calling for making China a “large shipping and shipbuilding nation“, while our marine insurance market has been in stagnancy, which disappoints those insurance tycoons who have been kept waiting for long time.  相似文献

The China Shipping Prosperity Index (CSPI) for the third quarter has climbed 15 points from the second quarter to 101.7 points, back to positive territory, which is above 100 points, according to the latest report form Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI). This is the first time since the third quarter of 2011 that the CSPI returned to above the critical level. In the past two years, withering trade and overcapacity pushed the Chinese shipping industry down to a historical bottom. In the third quarter of 2012, when the CSPI fell to only 78 points, about 60 per cent of carriers in China suffered severe loss. Since the second quarter of this year, the Chinese government's policies to secure growth have taken effect and spurred an obvious growth in the country's investments and exports, which brought hope to the shipping market. The Baltic Dry Index has risen to over 2,100 points by far, a sharp increase of 180 per cent from the beginning of this year. The index surged nearly 80 per cent in September. The container shipping industry also shares the general improvement of the market. Since July, there have been several attempts to introduce rate increase. The spot rate from Shanghai to Europe was once more than doubled. Part of the carriers might be able to reverse their loss in the third quarter. However, the recovery might not be sustainable, as China is very likely to be able to meet the GDP target of 7.5 per cent growth and there will not be further policies to boost domestic economy. Meanwhile, the rebound of rates has stimulated deployment of new tonnage. Statistics show, capacity on Asia-Europe lane grew about three per cent in September but demand is not stable. The supply-demand imbalance caused a decrease of over US$100 per TEU in the container shipping rates in the last week of September.SISl's report estimated that the CSPI in the fourth quarter will be 99.56 points, falling again below the critical level. In face of such challenges,  相似文献

Ⅰ. Shipping After entering into the 1990's, the ship-building industry, badly affected by the long recession of the world shipping market, has been growing very slowly, while the competition has been a fierce one. From the shares enjoyed by the major shipping countries in the world, we can see that the first one is Japan which occupied 38%; South Korea came to the second, obtaining 15%; the third is Germany, being 8%. The shipbuilding industry in America is shrinking, owing to the high cost of production. Up to 1993,Japanese ship yards had still been in difficult situation, and many Japanese ship owners would rather order new ships from South Korea because the rising value of Japanese yen made it expensive to build in domestic yards. Nowadays, Japanese shipbuilding industry is exposed to the problem of scarce of labour force. The Korean shipbuilding industry, whose  相似文献

Shipbuilding industry is known as the top of all industries. The world No.1 shipbuilding country has been the long-cherished wish for China. With the continuous increase of economic and technical strengths, China's dream of becoming the world No.1 shipbuilding country seems to come close. However, crank-shaft as the heart of engine which is the heart of large-size ships often makes us in the state of embarrassment. Now, after some twists and turns, in terms of large marine crankshaft, China has broken through the technology barriers set by foreign crankshaft manufacturers and can make our own heart for large-size ships. Though domes-tically produced crankshafts can't meet our demands at the moment, it will give our people more imaginations be-cause Chinese shipbuilding industry has now had the strengths to gallop the world.  相似文献

Recently, as reported by the media, industry people expressed their concern about the descending of new building standards on the International Shipbuilding Conference sponsored by Lloyd's List in Athens. Strange enough, on the Shipping China Energy 2008 Conference held in Shanghai not long ago, participants conveyed the same concern about this issue. Is this a reflection that shipping market has come to a transition point or does the current shipbuilding quality really worry the shipowners or it has something else to drive at?  相似文献

In the shipbuilding industry, market competition is currently operating in an intense state. To be able to strive in the global market, the shipbuilders must able to produce ships that are more efficient and can be constructed in a relatively short amount of time. The piping layouts in the engine room requires a lot of time for the designer to design the best possible route and in a way are not the most efficient route. This paper presents an automatic piping support system in the ship’s engine ...  相似文献

Chinese Yacht development is just at her primary stage. In 2002,the export volume of Chinese yacht industry only reached over 17 million US dollars, while each year the total international yacht sales amount to 25 billion US dollars.Imagine what a prospect will it be if the Chinese yacht industry can take 5-7% the international market like that of the Chinese shipbuilding industry ?Yacht industry contains hi-tech as stated by the industry sources. For the burgeoning Chinese yacht industry,it is still a dream to come out into the international market. However, the efect of grouping together is probably something where we can start with our dream.  相似文献
