The main objective of this paper has been to review and to verify already published hot-spot stress extrapolation procedures for plate structures, and to develop and verify a new and general method for the structural stress extrapolation to be used together with a hot-spot design S-N curve for aluminum ship structures. The proposed extrapolation method has been based on the asymptotic behavior of the stresses adjacent to an idealized notch (‘singularity’). On basis of the fatigue test S-N data obtained in this study, relevant S-N curves to be used together with a proposed extrapolation procedure and with already published extrapolation methods have been suggested. A hot-spot design S-N curve with a characteristic strength of 32 was suggested as a suitable choice for the fatigue assessment of profile ground fillet welded stiffener/bracket connections while a design hot-spot design S-N curve with a characteristic strength of 25 was suggested for as-welded stiffener/bracket connections.  相似文献

以大型邮轮救生系统为研究对象,进行大型邮轮救生艇替代设计定性分析。确定替代设计的安全目标和影响替代设计的相关法规,分析受替代设计影响的相关布置和系统以及主要的操作场景。在此基础上开展危险识别,即对各种危险及其事故场景进行分析,并按其相对于所考虑问题的风险水平进行排序,对于风险等级高的事故场景,提出相应的风险控制措施。确定需要通过定量分析作进一步研究的事故场景、采用的性能衡准和评估方法,进而为大型邮轮救生艇替代设计及相关定性分析提供指导。  相似文献

近场动力学作为一种非局部理论,能够通过键的失效来自发模拟材料的失效、破坏,其在海洋工程领域已取得初步的研究成果,尤其是在冰区船舶与海洋工程领域,更显出了该方法的优越性。为了更好地了解近场动力学在冰区船舶和海洋工程中的应用,对近场动力学在冰区船舶与海洋工程应用中的问题进行梳理,主要包括冰材料本构模型、冰−结构作用模型、冰−水耦合方法、结构物力学模型、水下爆炸破冰应用及结构表面覆冰除冰的应用等。同时,在全面回顾已有研究成果的基础上,分析其特点和面临的挑战,探讨相应的解决思路和未来的研究方向。  相似文献

This is Part II in a series of papers. Part I [1] investigated the slamming responses of flexible flat stiffened steel and aluminum plates using the nonlinear explicit finite element code LS-Dyna with the Multi-Material Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (MMALE) solver. Subsequently, a simplified finite element FSI model of water hitting structures that is realistically close to the slamming phenomenon occurring on the bottom part of offshore structures was proposed. The proposed FSI methodology presented in Part I was verified by comparison with the relevant test data. It was evident that the use of the proposed numerical method presented in Part I was very effective for a benchmarking investigation of slamming load considering the hydroelastic effect. However, the method required much effort in terms of computation time and power analysis resources. The present study, Part II, aimed, as an alternative to the FSI analysis approach, to develop empirical formulae for prediction of slamming loads acting on deformable flat stiffened plates used in marine applications. This paper begins by describing the limitations of the existing approaches based on theoretical, experimental and even numerical studies conducted in the past for estimation of slamming loads. Next, it presents, based on the simulation methodology developed in Part I, rigorous parametric studies that had been performed on actual scantlings of marine-seagoing structures. The effects of structural geometry and water impact velocity on slamming pressure are then investigated in detail. Subsequently, the parametric results are analyzed and utilized to derive empirical formulations for the prediction of slamming loads acting on flat stiffened plates of marine structures. The accuracy and reliability of the proposed formulations are established by comparison with the results of the test and other existing formulations. The proposed formulations are expected to be used for the purposes of the design without any time-consuming FSI analysis of advanced and optimal structures that are robust to slamming.  相似文献

During their lifetime, marine structures may be exposed to accidental loadings such as from collisions or explosions, as well as environmental loadings such as from slamming, sloshing and green water. Such loadings can cause damage to structures. Therefore, to minimize such damage, advanced and robust design guidelines should be formulated. Among those loads, in this study, explosions imparting an impulsive pressure loading containing a rapid increase in pressure and a short duration that can cause serious casualties, property losses, and marine pollution were considered. In this paper, a practical and robust method for damage assessment of marine structures exposed to explosion loads based on a single degree of freedom (SDOF) system and numerical simulations is proposed. The SDOF method was improved by introduction of new and better idealization resistance for the system and consideration of the effect of strain-rate, and subsequently was verified by a numerical method developed using the commercial ABAQUS software package. The numerical method was itself validated by comparison with relevant pulse pressure test data available in the open literature (good correlation was shown). Based on the validated numerical models, a rigorous parametric study of the structural response of stiffened plates having actual scantlings of offshore structures was performed. The numerically obtained maximum deformations were compared with the results from the improved SDOF method in a parametric study, and the variation of both methods was verified. Finally, simple yet accurate and reliable formulations for prediction of structural response were empirically derived. These formulations are expected to be usefully employed as a first-hand tool for prediction of damage extent of marine structures (including offshore structures) due to explosion loads.  相似文献

The models may be utilized to identify the most effective investment plan for inland transportation infrastructure development and to evaluate the inland container transportation system. The procedure enables determination of the optimal locations, sizes and time of container port developments as well as the optimal container cargo flows through transportation networks. A heuristic algorithm was developed for the purpose of evaluating alternative investment plans. Dynamic and linear programming methods are applied to each of the two planning problems: the former for the optimum container port capacity development problem and the latter for the optimal allocation of inland container traffic movements. The model has been applied to concrete inland container transportation system problems in Korea.  相似文献

As part of the discussions of the environmental effects of the expansion of the Canal through the construction of a third set of locks, the Panama Canal Authority (PCA) began to consider measuring the impact of the project on global CO2 emissions in 2006. The hypothesis PCA intends to investigate whether the third set of locks will prompt reductions in total world CO2 emissions or not. The Canal's third set of locks will prevent reaching the saturation point, and will avoid diversion of traffic to potentially longer alternative routes, such as the Suez Canal and Cape Horn, thereby reducing distances and fuel consumption. In addition, the widening of the Canal may promote the construction of modern-type post-Panamax vessels, making transportation of freight more efficient through economies of scale. This white paper will initiate an exploratory research on the subject based on two possible scenarios: an existing Canal and an expanded Canal. Both scenarios will take physical distances, closest alternative routes, as well as fuel consumption of vessels and other relevant modes of transportation into consideration.  相似文献

柴油机水下排气时存在海水由排气管倒灌入柴油机进而导致柴油机严重损坏的风险。通过分析管内气液两相逆向流动特性和国内外相关研究成果,指出水下排气管内海水倒流的物理机制,并给出了基于Wallis无因次气相速度的水下排气管海水倒流判断准则。进而以某柴油机排气参数为基础,计算分析了排气管管径、排气口水位深度及排气温度等因素对管内倒流界限气速的影响,所得结果对水下排气柴油机防止海水倒灌具有指导意义。  相似文献

作为对船舶设计基础共性技术研发的一种思考,提出构建“船舶与海洋工程数字化性能平台”的设想。这一性能平台是以信息化、数字化为核心,以虚拟技术、网络协同、远程交互技术为手段,开放式和加盟式一体化的综合集成系统。在这种数字化性能平台上,运用计算流体动力学方法,可以全面地对船舶的安全性能、综合航行性能和海洋工程结构物的流体动力特性进行预报、评估和优化,成为新型舰船、新型海洋平台和海洋结构物研究开发的重要工具和手段,促进船型开发和设计的自主创新。  相似文献

This paper deals with stochastic wave models and their influence on wave load modelling of marine structures. The need for more refined theories is underlined for some applications and an entirely new quadratic model for the wave elevation is outlined. Digital twins and relevant concepts are being applied in a wide variety of ways, and they are of most use when an actual real-world physical system or process (a physical twin) is changing over time and when measurement data correlated with this change can be captured. In this work, a digital twin model was implemented for real-time monitoring of aquaculture net cage systems, which is notoriously challenging because of several difficult-to-measure properties, such as forces on and deformation of the flexible netting structures, waves and flow field alterations around the cage and complex stiffness behaviour of the mooring elements made by fibre ropes. These properties were set to be adaptable according to the resultant outputs, such as cage responses and mooring loads that were continuously compared with the measurement data obtained from remote monitoring sensors. In this way, real-time sensor data were assimilated into the numerical simulation model for representing the actual net cage system. No dedicated sensors were used for fish monitoring, but the fish behavioural responses to current, wave and cage deformation were modelled according to relevant field observational data. A wireless sensor network has also been tested for the digital twin implementation, which was found to be suitable for practical uses in fish farms.  相似文献
