This paper presents an fault-tolerant yaw moment control for a vehicle with steer-by-wire (SBW) and brake-by-wire (BBW) devices. SBWs and BBWs can give active front steering (AFS) and electronic stability control (ESC) functions, respectively. Due to motor-driven devices, actuator and sensor faults are inherent in SBW and BBW, and can cause a critical damage to a vehicle. Simple direct yaw moment control is adopted to design a vehicle stability controller. To cope with actuator failure, weighted pseudo-inverse based control allocation (WPCA) with variable weights is proposed in yaw moment distribution procedure. Simulations on vehicle simulation software, CarSim®, show the proposed method is effective for fail safety. 相似文献

Vehicle rollover is a serious traffic accident. In order to accurately evaluate the possibility of untripped and some special tripped vehicle rollovers, and to prevent vehicle rollover under unpredictable variations of parameters and harsh driving conditions, a new rollover index and an anti-roll control strategy are proposed in this paper. Taking deflections of steering and suspension induced by the roll at the axles into consideration, a six degrees of freedom dynamic model is established, including lateral, yaw, roll, and vertical motions of sprung and unsprung masses. From the vehicle dynamics theory, a new rollover index is developed to predict vehicle rollover risk under both untripped and special tripped situations. This new rollover index is validated by Carsim simulations. In addition, an H-infinity controller with electro hydraulic brake system is optimised by genetic algorithm to improve the anti-rollover performance of the vehicle. The stability and robustness of the active rollover prevention control system are analysed by some numerical simulations. The results show that the control system can improve the critical speed of vehicle rollover obviously, and has a good robustness for variations in the number of passengers and longitude position of the centre of gravity. 相似文献

In this paper, decoupling control with H∞ performance for four-wheel steering (4WS) vehicles under varying longitudinal velocity is studied. A novel control scheme for a nonlinear model of three states, respectively, the longitudinal and lateral velocities, and yaw rate, is proposed to address this issue. The scheme is composed of two varying-parameter controllers designing problems for both longitudinal and lateral systems with coupling performance. Varying parameters of both these controllers depend only on longitudinal velocity. Controlled by these controllers, the longitudinal system is decoupled with lateral velocity and yaw rate, and the lateral system is input–output decoupling with H∞ performance. In addition, feedback signals are the longitudinal velocity and yaw rate, hence observations or measurements of lateral velocity are not necessary. Simulations show that vehicles controlled by our scheme are input–output diagonal decoupling and execute very well while longitudinal velocity varies in a large range, coupling appears between longitudinal and lateral systems, and external disturbances do exist. In summary, this control scheme can improve handling characteristics, safety and comfort proved from theory to practice in this paper. 相似文献

A model for simulation of dynamic interaction between a railway vehicle and a turnout (switch and crossing, S&C) is validated versus field measurements. In particular, the implementation and accuracy of viscously damped track models with different complexities are assessed. The validation data come from full-scale field measurements of dynamic track stiffness and wheel–rail contact forces in a demonstrator turnout that was installed as part of the INNOTRACK project with funding from the European Union Sixth Framework Programme. Vertical track stiffness at nominal wheel loads, in the frequency range up to 20?Hz, was measured using a rolling stiffness measurement vehicle (RSMV). Vertical and lateral wheel–rail contact forces were measured by an instrumented wheel set mounted in a freight car featuring Y25 bogies. The measurements were performed for traffic in both the through and diverging routes, and in the facing and trailing moves. The full set of test runs was repeated with different types of rail pad to investigate the influence of rail pad stiffness on track stiffness and contact forces. It is concluded that impact loads on the crossing can be reduced by using more resilient rail pads. To allow for vehicle dynamics simulations at low computational cost, the track models are discretised space-variant mass–spring–damper models that are moving with each wheel set of the vehicle model. Acceptable agreement between simulated and measured vertical contact forces at the crossing can be obtained when the standard GENSYS track model is extended with one ballast/subgrade mass under each rail. This model can be tuned to capture the large phase delay in dynamic track stiffness at low frequencies, as measured by the RSMV, while remaining sufficiently resilient at higher frequencies. 相似文献

This paper presents dynamic contact loads at wheel–rail contact point in a three-dimensional railway vehicle–track model as well as dynamic response at vehicle–track component levels in the presence of wheel flats. The 17-degrees of freedom lumped mass vehicle is modelled as a full car body, two bogies and four wheelsets, whereas the railway track is modelled as two parallel Timoshenko beams periodically supported by lumped masses representing the sleepers. The rail beam is also supported by nonlinear spring and damper elements representing the railpad and ballast. In order to ensure the interactions between the railpads, a shear parameter beneath the rail beams has also been considered into the model. The wheel–rail contact is modelled using nonlinear Hertzian contact theory. In order to solve the coupled partial and ordinary differential equations of the vehicle–track system, modal analysis method is employed. Idealised Haversine wheel flats with the rounded corner are included in the wheel–rail contact model. The developed model is validated with the existing measured and analytical data available in the literature. The nonlinear model is then employed to investigate the wheel–rail impact forces that arise in the wheel–rail interface due to the presence of wheel flats. The validated model is further employed to investigate the dynamic responses of vehicle and track components in terms of displacement, velocity, and acceleration in the presence of single wheel flat. 相似文献

Sichuan–Tibet Railway plays a vital role in China’s transportation system by connecting Tibet and Central China, whose design and construction are extremely difficult due to numerous seismic zones and deep valleys along the railway line. This paper systematically presents a framework to control seismic vibration of T-beam bridges with high-piers in Sichuan–Tibet Railway using tuned mass dampers (TMDs). Firstly, a finite element model of the widely used high-pier bridge is established to reveal its vibration modes subject to earthquakes. On this basis, optimal installation locations and optimal parameters of the TMDs are determined. Then, vibration reduction effects of the designed TMDs on the high-pier bridge subject to actual earthquake samples are investigated and compared with that of using some other vibration absorption measures. Finally, a detailed train-track-bridge dynamic model with attached TMDs is established to study the effects of the designed TMDs on the seismic responses of the running trains. The results indicate that, for the high-pier T-beam bridges, the first bending vibration mode of the high-pier is most likely to be excited by earthquakes, which should be restrained. With the designed optimal parameters, the attached TMDs are effective to control seismic vibrations of the concerned high-pier bridges. Tuned mass damper is the best one among all the investigated measures to absorb vibrations subject to earthquakes from the perspective of vibration absorption performance, installation and maintenance. 相似文献
