Many wave energy conversion devices have not been well received. The main reasons are that they are too complicated and not economical. However, in the last two decades direct conversion systems have drawn the attention of researchers to their widely distributed energy source due to their simple structure and low cost. The most well-known direct conversion systems presently in use include the Archimedes Wave Swing (AWS) and Power Buoy (PB). In this paper, these two systems were simulated in the same conditions and their behaviors were studied in different wave conditions. In order to verify the simulations, results of the generator of the finite element computations were followed. An attempt was made to determine the merits and drawbacks of each method under different wave conditions by comparing the performance of the two systems. Acoustic vector sensor consists of pressure and particle velocity sensors,which measure the three-dimensional acoustic particle velocity,as well as the pressure at one location at the same time.By preserving the amplitude and phase information of the pressure and particle velocity,they possess a number of advantages over traditional scalar sensors.Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gain (which is often called array gain) is one of such advantages and is always interested by all of us.But it is not unchangeable if the spatial correlation of the noise field varies.Much more important,it is difficult to be given if the noise becomes complex.In this paper,spatial correlation of the vector field of isotropic volume-noise and surface-generated noise has been introduced briefly.Based on the results,the combined SNR output of a vector linear array is investigated and the maximum gain is given in the specified noise.Computer simulation shows that the output of one array in the same noise is not the same in different gestures.And then we find the best gesture through SNR calculation and obtain the biggest gain,which has important meaning to guide how to deploy an array in practice.We also should use the array with respect to the characteristics of the real ambient noise,especially in anisotropic noise field.  相似文献

This paper extends CAATI (Computed Angle-of-Arrival Transient Imaging) technique of Multi-angle Swath Bathymetry Sidescan Sonar (MSBSS) into Multi-Beam Bathymetry Sonar (MBBS) and presents a new Multiple Sub-array Beamspace-CAATI (MSB-CAATI) algorithm. The method not only can achieve high resolution seafloor mapping in the whole wide swath, but also can work well in complex acoustic environments or geometries. Simulation results and processing results of sea-experiment data prove the validity and superiority of the algorithm.  相似文献

A series of tests was performed with three-point single-edge-notched-bend (SENB) specimens in a condenser material (Titanium alloy). Results show that the J-integral values of welded joint and HAZ are obviously smaller than those of the base metal. It signifies that the welding process can result in a reduced toughness of Titanium alloy and the effect of crack orientation on toughness value is not negligible for engineering applications. Besides, the J-integral values of L-T direction specimens are much higher than those of LS ones. The J-integral values of rolled ring are: J_(C-R)>J_(C-L)>J_(L-R).  相似文献

GM(1, 1) is generally used in Grey System Theory which constructs an Ordinary Differential Equation for given se-ries. It is effective for monotone series, and its simulating effect is good and error is small. The fuel sulfur content in marine fuels has been regulated in Sulfur Emission Control Areas(SECAs) since January 2015. However, other fuel characteristics are also believed to have an impact on particle emissions, particularly on the number of particles emitted. This study investigates the impact of the content of aromatics in fuel. To achieve fuel blends with concentrations of aromatics similar to those found in marine fuel oils, i.e. 20%–30% by volume(%vol.), normal diesel oil(4%–5% vol. aromatics) is doped with a mixture of aromatics. Emission measurements are conducted in test-bed engine facilities and particle emissions over a wide size range are analyzed. Results show a decreased number of particles emitted(or not change) with an increase in the aromatic concentration in fuel. This is because there is a reduction in the cetane number of the fuel with an increased aromatic content, which effects the combustion process and results in decreased particle formation. However, when ignition improver is used to increase the cetane number, particle emissions remain at a lower level than for normal diesel oil; thereby emphasizing the presence of other factors in the formation of particles.  相似文献

Nowadays, Autonomous Underwater Vehicles(AUVs) are frequently used for exploring the oceans. The hydrodynamics of AUVs moving in the vicinity of the water surface are significantly different at higher depths. In this paper, the hydrodynamic coefficients of an AUV in non-dimensional depths of 0.75, 1, 1.5, 2, and 4D are obtained for movement close to the free-surface. Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes Equations(RANS) are discretized using the finite volume approach and the water-surface effects modeled using the Volume of Fraction(VOF) method. As the operating speeds of AUVs are usually low, the boundary layer over them is not fully laminar or fully turbulent, so the effect of boundary layer transition from laminar to turbulent flow was considered in the simulations. Two different turbulence/transition models were used: 1) a full-turbulence model, the k-ε model, and 2) a turbulence/transition model, Menter's Transition-SST model. The results show that the Menter's Transition-SST model has a better consistency with experimental results. In addition, the wave-making effects of these bodies are studied at different immersion depths in the sea-surface vicinity or at finite depths. It is observed that the relevant pitch moments and lift coefficients are non-zero for these axi-symmetric bodies when they move close to the sea-surface. This is not expected for greater depths.  相似文献

In this work,Green-Naghdi (GN) equations with general weight functions were derived in a simple way. A wave-absorbing beach was also considered in the general GN equations. A numerical solution for a level higher than 4 was not feasible in the past with the original GN equations. The GN equations for shallow water waves were simplified here, which make the application of high level (higher than 4) equations feasible. The linear dispersion relationships of the first seven levels were presented. The accuracy of dispersion relationships increased as the level increased. Level 7 GN equations are capable of simulating waves out to wave number times depth . Numerical simulation of nonlinear water waves was performed by use of Level 5 and 7 GN equations, which will be presented in the next paper.  相似文献

This paper informally introduces colored object-oriented Petri Nets(COOPN) with the application of the AUV system.According to the characteristic of the AUV system's running environment,the object-oriented method is used in this paper not only to dispart system modules but also construct the refined running model of AUV system,then the colored Petri Net method is used to establish hierarchically detailed model in order to get the performance analyzing information of the system.After analyzing the model implementation,the errors of architecture designing and function realization can be found.If the errors can be modified on time,the experiment time in the pool can be reduced and the cost can be saved.  相似文献
