In recent high power, compact and light weight automotive engines, the bearing load has been increasing and housing stiffness has been decreasing. As a result, the bearing performance is greatly influenced by elastic deformations of both the housing and the bearing. The effects of changing both the housing stiffness and the bearing length on bearing performance were studied by using the elastohydrodynamic lubrication theory on connecting rod bearings for diesel engines.  相似文献

In order to improve the economical and environmental performances of the Diesel engines, the present paper aims to bring to the forefront solutions to increase the efficiency of the supercharging process carried out by the aggregates with Comprex type pressure waves. One solution to this is to drive the Comprex, not by the supercharged engine as it currently happens, but by a DC motor. The speed of the electric motor is modified, by means of an electronic management system, depending on the speed and load of the Diesel engine. The paper presents the experimental results obtained during the investigation of a supercharged Diesel engine by the Comprex driven type according to the proposed solution.  相似文献

An instrument to measure time-resolved fuel–air ratio in the vicinity of a spark plug was developed. Properties of absorption and scattering at the wavelengths of visible and infrared rays were utilized to determine the fuel–air ratio in the mixture including liquid and vaporized fuel. The measurement error of the instrument was within 10% as a result of comparison between the overall and the measured fuel–air ratio at the vicinity of the spark plug under the inlet port injection, which forms a relatively homogeneous mixture. The instrument was applied to a direct injection gasoline engine and the mixture formation process was clarified.  相似文献

The main purpose of this research is to reduce friction losses by adding carbon nanotubes to engine oil. Extremely favorable tribological properties of carbon nanotubes have been extensively studied on the microscopic scale and using tribometers, have not yet been verified in the engine. Enriching oil with nanotubes can lead to significant, exceeding 7 %, reduction in the motoring torque of the engine at low crankshaft rotational speed. The phenomena associated with the dispersion of carbon nanotubes in the engine are stated and discussed. It has been shown that the oil shear during normal operation of the engine can effectively improve the dispersion of nanotubes. At the same time the oil filtration system removes agglomerates of nanotubes very quickly.  相似文献

Mori-Tanaka equivalent inclusion micromechanics theory was employed to investigate the viscoelasticity of asphalt mixture Asphalt mixture was regarded as composites which treated coarse aggregate as a rigid inclusion and the mixture of fine aggregate,filler and binder as viscoelastic matrix The constitutive relations of coarse aggregate inclusion and fine aggregate-filler-binder matrix were converted into elastic problems by Laplace transformation Then the Mori-Tanaka equivalent inclusion and average theory were used to deduce the  viscoelastic performance of asphalt mixture based on that of asphalt mortar in  Laplace space The result shows that (1) coarse aggregate inclusion can enhance the viscoelastic performance of fine aggregate?filler?binder matrix and viscoelastic constitutive relation of asphalt mixtures can be expressed as the product of an enhancement coefficient of coarse aggregate and the viscoelastic constitutive relation of fine aggregate?filler?binder matrix; (2) the viscoelasticity of the complex asphalt mixture can be predicted from the viscoelasticity of the homogeneous fine aggregate?filler?binder matrix by using the nhancement coefficient; (3) the enhancement coefficient is higher than 10 and it rises with increasing of coarse aggregates' volumetric fraction or Poisson's ratio of fine aggregate-filler-binder matrix but the effect of the former is more important than that of the latter  相似文献
