The year of 2012 has left people many unpleasant memories,i.e.the news related to the deficit of shipping enterprises lingered in our ears,the shortage of ship orders and bankruptcy of shipping enterprises appeared one after another,and a fierce battle was once again waged among the shipbuilding industries of China,Japan and South Korea in the downturn.In 2012,the legendary year of doomsday,who on earth can survive in the face of hardships? Liquid sloshing is a common phenomenon in the transportation of liquid-cargo tanks. Liquid waves lead to fluctuating forces on the tank walls. If these fluctuations are not predicted or controlled, for example, by using baffles, they can lead to large forces and momentums. The volume of fluid(VOF) two-phase numerical model in Open FOAM open-source software has been widely used to model the liquid sloshing. However, a big challenge for modeling the sloshing phenomenon is selecting a suitable turbulence model. Therefore, in the present study, different turbulence models were studied to determine their sloshing phenomenon prediction accuracies. The predictions of these models were validated using experimental data. The turbulence models were ranked by their mean error in predicting the free surface behaviors. The renormalization group(RNG) k–ε and the standard k–ωmodels were found to be the best and worst turbulence models for modeling the sloshing phenomena, respectively; moreover, the SST k–ω model and v2-f k-ε results were very close to the RNG k–ε model result.  相似文献

Recently, Mr. Jin Zhuanglong, Vice Minister of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense (COSTIND) announced to the media that the Basic Requirements and Measures of Evaluation for the Production Conditions of Shipbuilding Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as the Ship- building Enterprise Evaluation Standard) has been formally promulgated and will take effect on October 1 this year. This is the first industrial stan- dards regarding the admission of shipbuilding enterprises in China. The standard shakes off the awkwardness of the Chinese shipbuilding enter- prises having no evaluation standards and drives the shipbuilding enter- prises to walk into a standardization era.  相似文献

Submerged vanes are installed on rivers and channel beds to protect the outer bank bends from scouring. Also, local scouring occurs around the submerged vanes over time, and identifying the effective factors on the scouring phenomena around these submerged vanes is one of the important issues in river engineering. The most important aim of this study is investigation of scour pattern around submerged vanes located in 180° bend experimentally and numerically. Firstly, the effects of various parameters such as the Froude number(Fr), angle of submerged vanes to the flow(α), angle of submerged vane location in the bend(θ),distance between submerged vanes(d), height(H), and length(L) of the vanes on the dimensionless volume of the scour hole were experimentally studied. The submerged vanes were installed on a 180° bend whose central radius and channel width were 2.8 and 0.6 m, respectively. By reducing the Froude number, the scour hole volume decreased. For all Froude numbers, the biggest scour hole formed at θ = 15°. In all models, by increasing the Froude number, the scour hole volume significantly increases. In addition, by increasing the submerged vanes' length and height, the scour hole dimensions also grow. Secondly,using gene expression programming(GEP), a relationship for determining the scour hole volume around the submerged vanes was provided. For this model, the determination coefficients(R~2) for the training and test modes were computed as 0.91 and 0.9,respectively. In addition, this study performed partial derivative sensitivity analysis(PDSA). According to the results, the PDSA was calculated as positive for all input variables.  相似文献

In recent years,China‘s shipbuilding industry has witnessed rapid growth.It‘s reported that china has set the goal to grab 16% of the world market share with the annual output of shipbuilding reaching 10 million deadweight tonnage by 2005, and 24 million deadweight tonnage representing 35% of the world market share by 2015. In addition, over 80% of the marine equipment to be installed on board will be made in China by 2010, compared with the current ratio of 30%. According to the statistics from the Chinese Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI), from January to April of this year,main business income of China's medium and large shipbuilding enterprises was 190.1 billion RMB, up 27%compared with the same period of last year; The total profit was 14.2 billion RMB, up 23.8% compared with the same period of last year. The profit ratio of sales of medium and large enterprises reached 7.5%, 1.3% higher than the national average level. On the surface, the above statistics indicate that the current economy of China's shipbuilding industry runs smoothly with a relatively good benefit performance. This paper compares Chinese, Korean, and Japanese shipyard production technology. Development in the world shipbuilding over recent years has influenced focus areas related to shipyard manufacturing technologies and product performance. In this research,a commercial CFD code "Fluent" was applied to optimization of bulbous bow shape for a non ballast water ships(NBS).The ship was developed at the Laboratory of the authors in Osaka Prefecture University,Japan.At first,accuracy of the CFD code was validated by comparing the CFD results with experimental results at towing tank of Osaka Prefecture University.In the optimizing process,the resistances acting on ships in calm water and in regular head waves were defined as the object function.Following features of bulbous bow shapes were considered as design parameters: volume of bulbous bow,height of its volume center,angle of bow bottom,and length of bulbous bow.When referring to the computed results given by the CFD like resistance,pressure and wave pattern made by ships in calm water and in waves,an optimal bow shape for ships was discovered by comparing the results in the series of bow shapes.In the computation on waves,the ship is in fully captured condition because shorter waves,λ/Lpp 0.6,are assumed.  相似文献

Dimensional control is one of the most important challenges in the shipbuilding industry.In order to predict assembly dimensional variation in hull flat block construction,a variation stream model based on state space was presented in this paper which can be further applied to accuracy control in shipbuilding.Part accumulative error,locating error,and welding deformation were taken into consideration in this model,and variation propagation mechanisms and the accumulative rule in the assembly process were analyzed.Then,a model was developed to describe the variation propagation throughout the assembly process.Finally,an example of flat block construction from an actual shipyard was given.The result shows that this method is effective and useful.  相似文献
