China has designed or constructed 297 ship types over the last decade

On January 26, China＇s biggest oil terminal - the 300,000 ton crude oil terminal was put into operation in Qingdao port as the oil tanker of ＂Meng Huan＂ made its call. The terminal able to accommodate an annual throughout of 18m tons will be the largest crude oil terminal in China with the longest berth, deepest draft, biggest ship size and most advanced technology.

China invests more to improve emergent rescue capability at sea
Mr. Song Jiahui, director general of the Rescue and Salvage Bureau of MOT, said that, during the ＂11th Five-Year Plan＂ period, fixed asset investment for rescue and salvage as planned in China will amount to 5.5b Yuan RMB. By 2020, China＇s rescue and salvage system will basically become a modemized national maritime rescue and salvage force in China.

China＇s first yacht construction rules due to take effect on August 1
The yacht construction rules developed by China Classification Society （CCS） apply to steel, GRP and aluminum alloy new-build yachts below 20 meters. The rules are part of the previsional regulations for statutonj survey of yachts to be released by China MSA and one of the bases upon which yacht seaworthiness certificate is issued.
