Research purposes: The existing researches about excavating procedures of deep foundation pit on nearby metro tunnel in soft formation are lack of systematicness, and creep characteristics of soft clay are not usually taken into consideration. This paper takes Qianhaiwan station of Metro Line 11 in Shengzhen as engineering background and considers creep characteristics in sludge formation. The influence of step excavation in the transversal, longitudinal and vertical directions on the deformation of foundation pit and nearby subway tunnel are simulated, which may be expected to provide theoretical basis for choosing foundation pit excavation procedure of Qianhaiwan station. Research conclusions: (1) The segment far away from tunnel should be excavated firstly when only transversal step excavation was undertaken along the horizontal direction of foundation pit. (2) The maximum horizontal displacement of the piles show exponential relations with the number of segments when step excavation of foundation pit was undertaken in vertical and transversal or longitudinal. If thickness of every step excavation was limited in 1.5~2 m, the horizontal displacement of the pile near tunnel can be reduced about 9 percent when there is no horizontal step excavation. (3) Transversal step excavation with segments far from tunnel excavated firstly was found to be the best step excavation method under the same condition of step number and support, and longitudinal and transversal step excavation followed while longitudinal step excavation was the last. Travel time reliability, an essential factor in traveler route and departure time decisions, serves as an important quality of service measure for dynamic transportation systems. This article investigates a fundamental problem of quantifying travel time variability from its root sources: stochastic capacity and demand variations that follow commonly used log-normal distributions. A volume-to-capacity ratio-based travel time function and a point queue model are used to demonstrate how day-to-day travel time variability can be explained from the underlying demand and capacity variations. One important finding is that closed-form solutions can be derived to formulate travel time variations as a function of random demand/capacity distributions, but there are certain cases in which a closed-form expression does not exist and numerical approximation methods are required. This article also uses probabilistic capacity reduction information to estimate time-dependent travel time variability distributions under conditions of non-recurring traffic congestion. The proposed models provide theoretically rigorous and practically useful tools for understanding the causes of travel time unreliability and evaluating the system-wide benefit of reducing demand and capacity variability. 相似文献

An alternator, which converts mechanical rotational energy into electrical energy, is an important component of a vehicle.

Variable Nozzle Turbocharger (VNT) was invented to solve the problem of matching an ordinary turbocharger with an engine.
VNT can harness exhaust energy more efficiently, enhance intake airflow response and reduce engine emissions, especially during
transient operating conditions. The difficulty of VNT control lies in how to regulate the position of the nozzle at different
engine working conditions. The control strategy designed in this study is a combination of a closed-loop feedback controller
and an open-loop feed-forward controller. The gain-scheduled proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller was implemented
as the feedback controller to overcome the nonlinear characteristic. As it is difficult to tune the parameters of the gain-scheduled
PID controller on an engine test bench, system identification was used to identify the plant model properties at different
working points for a WP10 diesel engine on the test bench. The PID controller parameters were calculated based on the identified
first-order-plus-dead-time (FOPDT) plant model. The joint simulation of the controller and the plant model was performed in
Matlab/Simulink. The time-domain and frequency-domain performances of the entire system were evaluated. The designed VNT control
system was verified with engine tests. The results indicated that the real boosting pressure traced the target boosting pressure

A navigation algorithm is indispensable for Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs). During driving, UGVs follow a global path. In
this study, we propose a navigation algorithm using Real Time Kinematic (RTK)-Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS)
units and encoders to complement global path planning. Sometimes GPS systems lose their signals and receive inaccurate position
data due to many factors, such as edifice and barrier obstructions. This paper shows that GPS deviations can be solved using
a Dead Reckoning (DR) navigation method with encoders and that position errors can be decreased through the use of RTK-DGPS
units. In addition to this method, we will introduce a new waypoint update algorithm and a steering algorithm using RTK-DGPS
