An alternative technique for identifying the transfer function of automotive suspension systems is presented in this paper. The method establishes a frequency response from which the transfer function can be determined by using a low cost test rig developed for the purpose. This results in a transfer function matrix which can include asymmetry in the suspension, tyre stiffness and damping. The technique is validated by comparing results for a two-wheeled trailer with those obtained on a conventional hydraulic test rig. Results from this procedure may be used to evaluate passive or active suspension systems or to feed into a suspension modelling process for such purposes as active suspension control strategy development. 相似文献

The external morphology of the first three larval stages of Nucellicola holmanae is described. These stages were cultured from eggs found with the adults in the viscera of dog whelks collected from Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire. The nauplius develops within the whelk. It moults to a metanauplius which is released as a free-swimming stage. The metanauplius moults to a free copepodid stage which exhibits a combination of characters typical of the first, second and third copepodid stages of other poecilostomatoid copepods. This paper presents the road simulator control technology for reproducing a road input signal to implement real road data.
The simulator consists of a hydraulic pump, a servo valve, a hydraulic actuator and its control equipment. QFT (Quantitative
Control Theory) is utilized to control the simulator effectively. The control system illustrates a tracking performance of
the closed-loop controller with a low order transfer function G(s) and a pre-filter F(s) for a parametric uncertainty model. A force controller is designed to communicate the control signal between the simulator
and digital controller. Tracking specification is satisfied with upper and lower bound tolerances on the steep response of
the system to the reference signal. The efficacy of the QFT force controller is verified through the numerical simulation
in which combined dynamics and actuation of the hydraulic servo system are tested. The simulation results show that the proposed
control technique works well under an uncertain hydraulic plant system. The conventional software (Labview) is used to make
up for the real controller on a real-time basis, and the experimental works show that the proposed algorithm works well for

This paper presents a robust optimization method to decrease the variations in the performance of the designed system caused
by the unavoidable manufacturing, installation or measurement errors of the design variables. Generally, it is difficult and
costly to determine statistical information with sufficient precision for uncertain design variables; in this study, interval
numbers are used to describe the uncertain design variables, and only the bounds of these variables are required. An improved
interval truncation method is presented for estimating the variation ranges of the system performances. The robustness estimations
of the system performances are incorporated into the optimization formulation to obtain the nominal design variables, which
could make the system performances relatively robust; therefore, the design robustness is estimated and improved in the optimization
iteration process. The robust optimization method is applied to a general powertrain mounting system (PMS) to improve the
design robustness of the PMS decoupling layout and frequency allocation. The optimization results show that the robust optimization
method could effectively increase the decoupling ratios in the interested vertical and pitch directions, and the frequency

To solve the power steering (PS) hose oil leakage problem in automobile applications, a new geometry design of the metal fitting is required, and the swaging conditions applied to the PS hose should be optimized. In this study, a new metal fitting geometry for the PS hose was proposed. A CAE simulation for both the proposed and the conventional metal fittings was conducted, and both the stress and the strain in the PS hose were compared. An experimental verification was also performed with these two different metal fittings. Additionally, the swaging conditions were optimized by the durability cycle time, which was measured in an impulse test of the swaged PS hose. A traction control system (TCS) is used to improve the acceleration performance on slippery roads by preventing excessive wheel slip. In this paper, a new traction control system using the integrated control of gear shifting and throttle actuation is developed for vehicles with automatic transmissions. In the design of the slip controller, by means of a differential manifold transformation, a slip control system with nonlinearities and uncertainties is transformed into a linear system, and a sliding mode controller is applied for the purpose of increasing the robustness of the system. Next, to achieve the required driving torque, the optimal throttle and gear position, maps are constructed based on dynamic programming. The simulation results indicate that the present traction control system can improve the acceleration performance of an automatic transmission vehicle for various types of road conditions. 相似文献
