HILS (Hardware In the Loop Simulation) and RBT (Requirement-Based Testing) are widely used to evaluate the performance and
reliability of automotive ECUs (Electronic Control Units). The HILS method is used to predict the behavior of ECU-installed
vehicles and to evaluate the performance of ECU controllers. RBT evaluates whether the embedded system satisfies the pre-defined
requirements. In this study, the behavior of a vehicle is regarded as a system requirement, and an embedded system test procedure
that evaluates the system requirement is proposed. In particular, a new method is introduced, which integrates HILS with RBT.
Using the proposed method, the behavior of an articulated vehicle equipped with an AWS (All Wheel Steering) ECU is evaluated

As a powertrain for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), the automatic transmission (AT) is not only convenient for the driver
but also reduces hybridization costs because the existing production line is used to produce the AT. However, it has low fuel
economy due to the torque converter. To overcome this disadvantage, this paper studies HEVs equipped an AT without a torque
converter. In this case, additional torque control is needed to prevent the driving quality from deteriorating. This paper
suggests three different torque control methods and develops a simulator for an HEV that can simulate the dynamic behaviors
of the HEV when the engine clutch is engaged. The HEV drive train is modeled with AMESim, and a controller model is developed
with MATLAB/Simulink. A co-simulation environment is established. By using the developed HEV simulator, simulations are conducted
to analyze the dynamic behaviors of the HEV according to the control methods. 相似文献

We propose a novel breakup model to simulate the catastrophic breakup regime in a supersonic cross flow. A developed model
has been extended from an existing Kelvin-Helmholtz/Rayleigh-Taylor (K-H/R-T) hybrid model. A new mass reduction rate equation,
which has critical effects on overall spray structure, is successfully adopted, and the breakup length, which is an important
parameter in existing model, is replaced by the breakup initiation time. Measured data from the supersonic wind tunnel with
a dimension of 762×152×127 mm was employed to validate the newly developed breakup model. A nonaerated injector with an orifice
diameter of 0.5 mm is used to inject water into a supersonic flow prescribed by the momentum flux ratio of the liquid jet

OSEK OS (Offene Systeme und deren Schnittstellen für die Elektronik in Kraftfahrzeugen Operating System) is an open, real-time
operating system standard for ECU software in vehicles. Because it was originally designed to be used in an extremely resource-constrained
environment, an OSEK-compliant operating system must incur low processing overhead and memory usage. Unfortunately, as OSEK
OS has evolved over time, it now specifies nontrivial kernel features along with multiple conformance classes and application
modes. This may lead to unwanted dynamic resource usage in a system using OSEK OS unless the standard is carefully interpreted
and designed into an OSEK OS implementation. In this paper, we analyzed the various kernel features of OSEK OS and their interactions
to identify areas in the standard that warrant further resource usage optimization. In particular, we attempted to reduce
the run-time memory footprint. Based on our analyses, we present two kernel mechanisms: (1) stack sharing among tasks and
(2) light-weight ready queue handling specialized for OSEK OS conformance classes. We also offer implementation methods for
the proposed mechanisms by extending OIL and associated tools. Finally, we show the effectiveness of the proposed mechanisms
via extensive experiments. Our mechanisms allow OSEK-based systems to use only 36% of the memory requirements of conventional

In the shipbuilding industry, different computer-aided design (CAD) systems are used for different design domains, structure, and outfitting. We need to exchange data among different CAD systems such as Tribon, AutoCAD, Intergraph or PDMS to complete the whole design and production process. There are two approaches to data exchange. One is direct translation; the other is indirect translation, which is based on a neutral format. If we use a neutral format, the data specification is open to the public and the design model can be used by other CAD systems, including next-generation CAD systems. In this paper, we propose an indirect method that uses ISO 10303 (STandard for the Exchange of Product model data) AP227 and ISO 15926 to define neutral formats. A separate ShapeDB is constructed to manage the geometry information, referenced to the catalogue data defined by ISO 15926. The objective of this paper is to describe the experimental assessment of the ultimate strength of a severely corroded box girder subjected to a uniform bending moment resulting from four-point loading. Three box girders that could simulate the behaviour of midship sections have been deteriorated in corrosive seawater environment to simulate different levels of corrosion degradation of ageing ship structures. During the deterioration process, various parameters have been controlled and the total weight lost was registered. Corroded plate thicknesses have been measured in 212 points and a statistical analysis has been performed. The resulting corrosion wastage has been fitted by a non-linear time variant degradation model. The experimental results of the ultimate strength test of a severely corroded box girder subjected to a four-point loading have been analysed. The load-displacement and moment-curvature relationship is discussed, different failure modes are identified, and the strain gauges readings are analysed. 相似文献

The constructive disposition of metallic and plastic layers confers flexible pipes with high and low axial stiffness respectively when tensile and compressive loads are applied. Under certain conditions typically found during deepwater installation or operation, flexible pipes may be subjected to high axial compression, sometimes accompanied by bending. If not properly designed, the structure may not be able to withstand this loading and fails. From practical experience observed offshore and in laboratory tests two principal mechanisms, which will be discussed in this paper, have been identified regarding the configuration of the armor wires. When the pipe fails by compression the armor wires may exhibit localized lateral or radial deflections, consequently permanent damage is observed in the armor wires with a sudden reduction of the structure’s axial stiffness. The pressure armor may also unlock, thus causing potential fluid leakage.In this work a finite element model is developed to estimate the critical instability load and failure modes. An axi-symmetric model is constructed employing a complex combination of beam and spring elements. For each armor layer only one wire needs to be modeled, hence the computational cost is minimized without compromising the phenomenon characterization. A parametric case study is performed for a typical flexible pipe structure, where the friction coefficient between the wire armors and the external pressure are varied, and the critical instability loads and failure modes are obtained and results are discussed. 相似文献

A predictive continuum dynamic user-optimal (PDUO-C) model is formulated in this study to investigate the dynamic characteristics of traffic flow and the corresponding route-choice behavior of travelers within a region with a dense urban road network. The modeled region is arbitrary in shape with a single central business district (CBD) and travelers continuously distributed over the region. Within this region, the road network is represented as a continuum and travelers patronize a two-dimensional continuum transportation system to travel to the CBD. The PDUO-C model is solved by a promising solution algorithm that includes elements of the finite volume method (FVM), the finite element method (FEM), and the explicit total variation diminishing Runge-Kutta (TVD-RK) time-stepping method. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the utility of the proposed model and the effectiveness of the solution algorithm in solving this PDUO-C problem. 相似文献

Recently, biofuels have been actively introduced as transportation fuels in Asian countries. Common drivers to use biofuels
are energy security, fuel diversification, and the reduction of greenhouse gases. In addition, some Southeastern Asian countries
look forward to utilizing the abundant agricultural resources and providing stability for farmers. However, a compromised
quality of biofuels could cause vehicle trouble, which is why the quality standard of the fuels is very important. On the
other hand, the quality standard of biofuels differs from country to country and could cause vehicle trouble in some countries
and not others. These differing standards may become an obstacle to trade. In this situation, the harmonization of the biodiesel
standards in the East Asia Summit (EAS) region has been initiated by the ERIA biodiesel working group, in which members are
the specialists from each country. This review summarizes the introduction of biofuels in this region and the recent activities
regarding the harmonization of the fuel quality standard. Important background for this review is based on the results of

This research aims to develop an actively translating rear diffuser device to reduce the aerodynamic drag experienced by passenger cars. One of the features of the device is that it is ordinarily hidden under the rear bumper but slips out backward only under high-speed driving conditions. In this study, a movable arc-shaped semi-diffuser device, round in form, is designed to maintain the streamlined automobile??s rear underbody configuration. The device is installed in the rear bumper section of a passenger car. Seven types of rear diffuser devices whose positions and protrusive lengths and widths are different (with the basic shape being identical) were installed, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses were performed under moving ground and rotating wheel conditions. The main purpose of this study is to explain the aerodynamic drag reduction mechanism of a passenger car cruising at high speed via an actively translating rear diffuser device. The base pressure of the passenger car is increased by deploying the rear diffuser device, which then prevents the low-pressure air coming through the underbody from directly soaring up to the rear surface of the trunk. At the same time, the device generates a diffusing process that lowers the velocity but raises the pressure of the underbody flow, bringing about aerodynamic drag reduction. Finally, the automobile??s aerodynamic drag is reduced by an average of more than 4%, which helps to improve the constant speed fuel efficiency by approximately 2% at a range of driving speeds exceeding 70 km/h. 相似文献
