In this study, for marine application purposes, we evaluated the effect of process parameter and particle loading on the microstructure, mechanical reinforcement and corrosion resistance properties of a Zn-TiO2-WO3 nanocomposite produced via electrodeposition. We characterized the morphological properties of the composite coatings with a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) equipped with an Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (EDS). We carried out mechanical examination using a Dura Scan hardness tester and a CERT UMT-2 multi-functional tribological tester. We evaluated the corrosion properties by linear polarization in 3.5% NaCl. The results show that the coatings exhibited good stability and the quantitative particle loading greatly enhanced the structural and morphological properties, hardness behavior and corrosion resistance of the coatings. We observed the precipitation of this alloy on steel is greatly influenced by the composite characteristics.  相似文献

The objective of this work is the analytical synthesis problem for marine vehicles autopilots design.Despite numerous known methods for a solution,the mentioned problem is very complicated due to the presence of an extensive population of certain dynamical conditions,requirements and restrictions,which must be satisfied by the appropriate choice of a steering control law.The aim of this paper is to simplify the procedure of the synthesis,providing accurate steering with desirable dynamics of the control system.The approach proposed here is based on the usage of a special unified multipurpose control law structure that allows decoupling a synthesis into simpler particular optimization problems.In particular,this structure includes a dynamical corrector to support the desirable features for the vehicle’s motion under the action of sea wave disturbances.As a result,a specialized new method for the corrector design is proposed to provide an accurate steering or a trade-off between accurate steering and economical steering of the ship.This method guaranties a certain flexibility of the control law with respect to an actual environment of the sailing;its corresponding turning can be realized in real time onboard.  相似文献

Boatbuilding is a growth market with global competition and tight profit margins. Concurrent engineering is not presently prevalent within the boatbuilding industry and yet this is a technique that has found much success in other industries. A methodology has, therefore, been developed to aid design in the leisure boatbuilding industry. This environment uses collaborative engineering and automated communication to aid the passing of direct communication between all members of the design team. This paper determines the characteristics of importance within boatbuilding and relates these to a framework concurrent engineering environment aimed specifically at this industry. The current work focuses on the structural and production subsystems in an attempt to improve design for production. Coastal management information is frequently communicated to stakeholders and the public through complicated management documents and engineering plans. With the recognition that public involvement in coastal decision-making processes should be widened have come calls to develop new techniques to communicate complicated coastal information. Using Virtual Reality Geographical Information Systems and visualization packages, such information may be presented using formats more suitable for public consultation and information dissemination exercises than those currently employed. Using a site on the north Norfolk coast of England, an integrated Geographical Information Systems based methodology is presented that allows the visualization of proposed coastal management interventions. Visualizations have been produced that can be published in traditional paper-based management documents, or electronically. The different visualizations are compared and the technical issues surrounding their use discussed. It is argued that the methodology has clear advantages over traditional communication methods, although further research is necessary to determine how it may be practically employed by coastal managers.  相似文献

We use linear programming (LP) for solving the problem of the optimal deployment of an existing fleet of multipurpose or fully containerized ships, among a given set of routes, including information for lay-up time, if any, and type and number of extra ships to charter, based on a detailed and realistic model for the calculation of the operating costs of all the ship types in every route and on a suitable LP formulation developed in earlier work of the authors. The optimization model is also applicable to the problem of finding the best fleet compostion and deployment, in a given set of trade routes, which may be the case when a shipping company is considering new or modified services, or a renewal of the existing fleet. [目的]旨在利用解析法求解环肋圆锥壳的振动方程,对环肋圆锥壳的振动特性进行理论研究。[方法]首先,对圆锥壳分段处理,将圆锥壳沿母线方向、环向和法向的位移分别写成幂级数解的形式,并推导出幂级数项前系数的递推关系式;然后,采用梁模型模拟不同环肋数对圆锥壳振动响应特性的影响;接着,将圆锥壳分段及其环肋边界条件、位移和内力矩阵进行组装求解,得到在外部简谐力激励下圆锥壳的振动响应特性,并将所得结果与ANSYS有限元数值方法的计算结果进行对比,验证所提计算方法的有效性。最后,运用所提理论方法进行环肋圆锥壳的振动特性分析。[结果]结果显示,圆锥壳安装的环肋可明显抑制圆锥壳的振动,具体表现为响应幅值降低、固有频率升高,且在相同频段内共振峰数量减小;增大壳体厚度会引起壳体振动响应幅值降低以及固有频率升高;此外,增大半锥角、轴线长度和环肋数均可降低环肋圆锥壳的振动响应幅值。[结论]研究表明,所用方法对环肋圆锥壳振动的理论研究具有一定意义。  相似文献

In this study, the performance of a contra rotating vertical-axis tidal-current turbine was investigated. The incompressible unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (U-RANS) equations were solved via two-dimensional (2D) numerical simulation using ANSYS Fluent computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code. An algorithm known as SIMPLE from the CFD code was used to calculate the pressure-velocity coupling and second-order finite-volume discretization for all the transport equations. The base turbine model was validated using the available experimental data. Three given scenarios for the contra rotating turbine were modeled. The contra rotating turbine performs better in a low tip speed ratio (TSR) than in a high TSR operation. In a high TSR operation, the contra rotating turbine inefficiently operates, surviving to rotate in the chaotic flow distribution. Thus, it is recommended to use contra rotating turbine as a part of new design to increase the performance of a vertical-axis tidal-current turbine with a lower TSR.  相似文献
