Estimating micro-scale intermittency of fluorescence fields from conventional CTD measurements

A free-fall microstructure profiler (TurboMAP) reveals highly intermittent features in the fluorescence field. Conventional CTDs that mount a fluorometer are usually deployed with a tethered cable, and the data are averaged or smoothed over a given time or water depth. Because of the nature of the operation and the data processing involved, intermittent features of fluorescence fields are masked. We have developed a statistical technique to extrapolate the intermittency using a lognormal mixture probability density function (mixture pdf). The statistics obtained from the mixture pdf are consistent with microstructure data, thus the conventional CTD can provide statistics appropriate to a micro-scale fluorescence field.

Bi-objective routing problem with asymmetrical travel time distributions

Recent studies have confirmed that travelers consider travel time reliability in addition to average travel time when making route choice decisions. In this study, we develop a bi-objective routing model that seeks to simultaneously optimize the average travel time and travel time reliability. The semi-standard deviation (SSD) is chosen as the reliability measure because it reflects travelers' concerns over longer travel time better than the commonly used standard deviation. The Pareto-optimal solutions to the bi-objective model are found by using an improved strength Pareto evolutionary algorithm. Tests on a real-world urban network with field measured travel time data have demonstrated good performance of the algorithm in the aspects, such as computational efficiency, quick convergence, and closeness to the global Pareto-optimal. Overall, the bi-objective routing model generates reasonable path recommendations. The SSD-based model is sensitive to the asymmetry of travel time distribution and tends to avoid paths with excessively long delays. This would be particularly helpful to those users placing high values on travel time reliability.     

降雨条件下胀缩性裂隙边坡稳定性研究

以某胀缩性裂隙边坡为例,基于非饱和土力学理论,利用有限元方法,对降雨入渗条件下胀缩性裂隙边坡稳定安全系数进行计算和分析,研究了裂隙的位置、深度和降雨的强度对胀缩性裂隙边坡稳定的影响规律.研究表明:裂隙位于坡面边坡稳定性最低,位于坡顶次之,位于坡脚偏于安全;整个降雨过程中边坡稳定安全系数随着裂隙开裂深度增大而逐渐降低;边坡稳定性随着降雨强度的增加显著降低,但随着降雨的持续,边坡安全系数趋于稳定.     

高速公路重大交通事故时空影响范围研究

据交通波理论和Greenshild流量—密度曲线,建立了事故状态下的交通分析模型。将事故的持续过程和消散过程分解为4个时区：扩展时区、稳定时区、启动时区和消解时区。考虑了对出入口采取限流和分流控制措施后,分流波对事故影响线运动的影响,得到了扩展时区、稳定时区与启动时区的时空影响范围。根据车流状态恢复初期,交通流特性将沿流量—密度曲线作非线性变化,达到稳定后作线性变化,推导了事故影响线消散时空影响范围,从而得到了事故全过程的解析解。结果显示：分流后事故空间影响范围将减小79.4%,从事故解除到恢复到事发前运行状态共需16 min。     

基于IDEF3的交通执法业务流程优化研究

基于IDEF3的功能特性,首先阐述了IDEF3在流程优化方面的适用性,然后以北京市交通执法业务为例,在对其业务流程各子环节进行准确把握和系统分析诊断的基础上,运用IDEF3方法对交通执法业务流程进行优化与重组,形成了新的业务流程。研究结果可作为进一步进行交通执法业务流程再造和优化的基础,也可以为交通执法部门提高作业效率和改进作业质量提供借鉴。     

上海软土地区二灰土底基层施工质量控制研究浅析

二灰土作为道路底基层,具有较高强度、整体性好、水稳性和抗低温能力良好、施工方便、造价相对较为经济等优点。该文从A15公路二灰土施工的全过程论述了质量控制重点和措施,结果表明,在上海软土地区是能够保证二灰土施工质量的,值得类似工程借鉴。
