The fare of a transit line is one of the important decision variables for transit network design. It has been advocated as an efficient means of coordinating the transit passenger flows and of alleviating congestion in the transit network. This paper shows how transit fare can be optimized so as to balance the passenger flow on the transit network and to reduce the overload delays of passengers at transit stops. A bi‐level programming method is developed to optimize the transit fare under line capacity constraints. The upper‐level problem seeks to minimize the total network travel time, while the lower‐level problem is a stochastic user equilibrium transit assignment model with line capacity constraints. A heuristic solution algorithm based on sensitivity analysis is proposed. Numerical example is used to illustrate the application of the proposed model and solution algorithm. 相似文献

Abstract Artificial reefs have been used extensively in coastal waters to attract and enhance recreational fishery resources. In the United States, they have been traditionally built from “materials of opportunity”; using limited budgets. This paper explores some past planning philosophies and presents a recent artificial reef deployment case that demonstrates a lack of sensitivity to local and regional recreational demand. A systems framework is developed to guide future planning efforts in artificial reef development. The framework is intended to integrate previously fragmented knowledge and to demonstrate the interdisciplinary nature of artificial reef planning. The use of correlation coefficients to evaluate the accuracy of spatial interaction models is inappropriate unless such models have been fitted using least squares techniques. In other cases the correlation involves an implicit intercept value and a regression coefficient that may significantly modify the interaction model's estimates. Researchers have not acknowledged the role of these two parameters when the correlation is used. This paper seeks to improve our understanding of passengers’ behavioral intention by proposing an integrated framework from
the attitudinal perspective. According to the literature in marketing research, we establish a causal relationship model that
considers “service quality-satisfaction-behavioral intentions” paradigm, perceived value theory, and switching barrier theory.
Exploring passengers’ behavioral intention from satisfaction and perceived value help to understand how passengers are attracted
by the company, while switching barriers assist in realizing how passengers are “locked” into a relationship with the current
company. Furthermore, in order to capture the nature of service quality, we adopt a hierarchical factor structure which serves
service quality as the higher-order factor. In this study, coach industry is selected as our research subject. The empirical
results, as hypothesized, show that all causal relationships are statistically significant, and perceived value us the most
important predictor of satisfaction and passengers’ behavioral intention. In conclusion, the managerial implications and suggestions

The transport demand in most major cities around the world can only be met with a high‐quality public transport system. The requirements on bus, rail, underground and tram systems are manifold with reliability and efficiency as the key factors. The service operating hours and the size of the network are often extended in order to serve the needs better. Further, most metropolitan areas are trying to provide more incentives for citizens to leave the car at home and use the local transit systems instead. The reasons are well known. Not only does a public transport system only make economical sense if it is well used, but most urban areas with a high car‐dependency face at least three major problems; safety, congestion, and pollution (noise and air pollution, land separation, etc.). It is generally recognised that to decrease car usage and to increase public transport usage a stick & carrot approach is needed. When compared with existing urban modes, Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) offers compelling advantages in every important respect. The desirable attributes of any urban mobility mode are well documented, such as minimal travel time, safety, comfort, low cost, and minimal impacts. These attributes are used to define a hypothetical, ideal urban mode. The ideal mode would possess characteristics such as no waiting, no stops, from anywhere to anywhere service, risk-free, non-polluting, and accessible to everyone at any time. Although not attainable in the real world, the ideal provides a model and benchmark for design much as the Carnot thermodynamic cycle guides the development of internal combustion engines, or ideal gases and perfect fluids are postulated in physics. A matrix format is used to present the characteristics of various modes against the desirable attributes of any mode. Modes presented are the ideal, walking, bicycles, motorcycles, automobiles, taxis, buses, rail transit, Automated Guideway Transit (AGT), and PRT. This paper proposes a new formulation for the capacity restraint transit assignment problem with elastic line frequency, in which the line frequency is related to the passenger flows on transit lines. A stochastic user equilibrium transit assignment model with congestion and elastic line frequency is proposed and the equivalent mathematical programming problem is also formulated. Since the passenger waiting time and the line capacity are dependent on the line frequency, a fixed point problem with respect to the line frequency is devised accordingly. The existence of the fixed point problem has been proved. A solution algorithm for the proposed model is presented. This study introduces the concept of loss aversion to consumer behavioral intention at the personal psychological level to
develop an integrative structural equation model for analyzing traveler psychological decision making. In this model, the
relationship between behavioral intention and service quality is a non-smooth function based on the theory of loss aversion.
The expectation service quality in the SERVQUAL model proposed by Parasuraman, Zeithaml, and Berry (PZB) serves as a reference
point. This model can be applied to analyze the effect of non-smooth response of behavioral intention to service quality in
a traveler psychological decision-making process model. Intercity travel among cities in Taiwan is used as an empirical example.
Data were gathered in cities in Taiwan via a questionnaire survey, and the model was tested using path analysis performed
by LISREL. The empirical result shows that all causal relationships are statistically significant. Service quality loss influences
repurchase intention more than does Service quality gain. Finally, this study concludes by discussing managerial implications
and suggesting directions for future research.
