The present state of knowledge on the handling behaviour of truck-dolly-trailer system is based on parametric studies made through simulation or eigen value analysis. Any convincing study using the equations to the stability boundaries have not been reported so far due to algebraic complexities. This paper fills the gap. Effects of system parameters are assessed using equations to the stability boundaries obtained from Routh-Hurwitz criterion. Region-specific algorithm to derive chlorophyll concentration from Coastal Zone Color Scanner (CZCS) images was adopted following field measurements in the Southeastern Mediterranean Sea, in June 1992. Reflectance in the range 400 to 700 nm, chlorophyll concentration and seston dry weight were measured simultaneously at 21 stations. The optical model used based on algorithm for Case I waters, using shipboard simulation of CZCS channels for adaptation of parameters. The resulting model was validated with an independent data sets from series of cruises in the Southeastern Mediterranean (1981–1984). Concurrent CZCS images were used for retrieval of the radiance ratio Channel 1/Channel 3, for each station. The resulting ratios were then used to calculate chlorophyll concentrations. A comparison between those calculated concentrations and the actual chlorophyll measurements showed that an estimation error of chlorophyll as low as 0.013 mg m−3 was achieved. 相似文献

Summary The possibility of improving the results of a rough road simulation by a - compared to the classic forcevelocity relation - more complex, but still an easy-to-handle shock absorber model based only on standard harmonic excitation test data is investigated. While a force-displacement-velocity relation proves not well suited for the problem under consideration, a force-velocity-acceleration relation yields a noticeable gain of accuracy with little effort. The objective of this paper is to introduce a computer simulation model with on-screen animation graphics, which can simulate the operations of a container terminal equipped with straddle carriers. The movements of the equipment are simulated as realistically as possible, to include time losses due to the mismatch in the sequence of equipment movements and to traffic congestion. Trucks are normally served in a specified area, but in some cases, straddle carrier drivers can call the truck to be served directly in the container storage areas. The experience of operators is incorporated in the model, in the form of a knowledge base, that is used to simulate the above process and determine the service discipline. The model was designed to evaluate different configurations (changes in yard layout, equipment number and productivity, truck arrival pattern and service discipline) of the simulated system. The proposed model was used to examine the differences between “the observed” operations strategy and the strategy dictated by the operational rules of the port of Piraeus. The results indicate that “the observed” strategy leads to shorter truck service time but increase the traffic conflicts in the terminal's internal transport networks. 相似文献

For a simple vehicle active suspension system complete optimality and zero steady state body displacements may be achieved if the axle and body accelerations, and other easily measured quantities, are included in the performance index. Apart from not requiring an observer, this also allows the optimal feedback gains to be determined for an arbitrary body spring rate. In a theoretical example, model parameters matching those of an experimental test rig are employed. The results of computer simulations, with and without an electrohydraulic servovalve and actuator, are compared to demonstrate the effects of inner loop gain on force control. A variable characteristic car (VCC) has been developed at Melbourne University for driverlvehicle handling research. The vehicle is unusual in that it has facilities for varying both its fixed control and free control dynamic characteristics over wide ranges. In this paper the servo systems used to effect these changes are described. The calibration methods used to relate the vehicle response characteristics to the variable servo settings are detailed. Sample calibration results are given for the fixed control parameters steering ratio, yaw response time and stability factor. Calibration of the free control parameters is also described and results are given for the steering torque gradient, and the time-to-peak and percentage overshoot of the steering wheel motion in response to a step input of torque. 相似文献

This paper develops a model, based on Bayesian beliefs networks, for representing mental maps and cognitive learning into micro-simulation models of activity-travel behavior. Mental maps can be used to address the problem that choice sets in models of travel demand are often ad hoc specified.
