For the on-centre handling behaviour of vehicles the steering system is absolutely important. To investigate the interaction of the vehicle and steering system a validated, especially tailored simulation model was developed. Some meaningful vehicle and steering system parameters are altered to show the influence on steering wheel torque, steering feel and understeer. The results underline the importance of an accurate steering system model. Identified measures to improve the centre feel and steering response were a stiffer torsion bar, a higher cornering stiffness or a lower overall steering ratio. The steering response, however, suffers when the centre feel is improved by a higher trail. The steering rack friction reduces mainly the steering response while the steering column friction decreases the centre feel whereas a stiffer torsion bar lessens the understeer tendency. 相似文献

When soot particles are loaded in a diesel particulate filter, it causes increase in back pressure of the exhaust system.
To minimize this pressure drop due to DPF, the filter needs to be regenerated after a certain amount of soot has been accumulated.
It is crucial to estimate the correct amount of soot that has been accumulated by measuring the differential pressure. It
is also important to understand changes in pressure drop due to flow rate variations of the exhaust gas, since the pressure
drop would be influenced by the exhaust flow rate as well as the amount of soot. Furthermore, the heat transfer characteristics
of the catalyzed diesel particulate filter (CDPF) are another major issue, as the filter is occasionally exposed to high temperature
gas. This study presents the characteristics of pressure drop according to the variation of soot loading and the mass flow
rate in CDPF. In addition, heat transfer characteristics in the filter was investigated when a high temperature gas flows
into the CDPF. Tests were performed in several CDPF samples having varying amounts of catalyst coating. Experimental results
indicate that rig-based experiments are useful in understanding the characteristics of pressure drop in the CDPF. In the cake
filtration region, a pressure drop has a proportional relationship according to soot loading and mass flow rate. It was found
that an increased catalyst coating may lead to enhanced convective heat transfer. 相似文献

考虑到MVB1类设备网卡支持简单的过程数据传送(功能代码为0~4)和设备状态响应(功能代码15),不支持消息数据、过程数据强制功能的情况,提出利用FPGA(现场可编程门阵列)开发MVB1类设备网卡。这样,在完成通信功能的同时,可以无需外加CPU即完成一些简单的IO、AD等功能,也可以设计出总线方式与CPU相连。实践证明MVB1类设备网卡采用PC104接口与宿主CPU连接,具有110个256位的过程数据通信能力;用FPGA开发MVB1类设备网卡比用MVBC芯片更具优势。 相似文献

The longitudinal and lateral vehicle control techniques have been widely used in several active driver assistance systems.
The adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistant control, vehicle platooning and stop-and-go control are typical examples
of the most important applications. In this study, a novel path planning method is proposed considering the driving environment
such as road shape, ego vehicle and surrounding vehicles’ movement. The relative distance and velocity between the ego vehicle
and surrounding vehicles are identified with respect to the predicted lane shape in front of the ego vehicle. Based on the
identified information, the road shape and surrounding vehicles are mapped into the intensity image and the desired vector
for the ego vehicle’s movement is determined by the maximum intensity density tracing method. The desired vehicle path is
followed by the acceleration/deceleration control and the steering assist control, respectively. In order to evaluate the

During accident, the interlayer of windshield plays an important role in the crash safety of automotive and protection of
pedestrian or passenger. The understanding of its energy absorption capability is of fundamental importance. Conventional
interlayer material of automotive windshield is made by Polyvinyl butyral (PVB). Recently, a new candidate of high-performance
nanoporous energy absorption system (NEAS) has been suggested as a candidate for crashworthiness. For the model problem of
pedestrian head impact with windshield, we compare the energy absorption capabilities of PVB and NEAS interlayers, in terms
of the contact force, acceleration, velocity, head injury criteria, and energy absorption ratio, among which results obtained
from PVB interlayers are validated by literature references. The impact speed is obtained from virtual test field in PC-CRASH,
and the impact simulations are carried out using explicit finite element simulations. Both the accident speed and interlayer
thickness are varied to explore their effects. The explicit relationships established among the energy absorption capabilities,
impact speed, and interlayer material/thickness, are useful for safety evaluation as well as automotive design. It is shown
that the NEAS interlayer may absorb more energy than PVB interlayer and it may be a competitive candidate for windshield interlayer. 相似文献

Based on experimental data, the present study investigates the influence of turbine adjustment in a turbocharger with vaneless turbine volute on diesel combustion efficiency indices and emission characteristics. Experimental investigations were conducted on engine modes as set out by the European Stationary Cycle (ESC). The adjustment algorithms selected for the experiment under ESC modes included adjustment to achieve minimal values of specific fuel consumption (SFC), NOx, CO and particulate matter (PM). In present research only VGT adjustment was investigated, the factors like fuel injection timing and EGR were not investigated. As a result we were able to make a comparison of the engine combustion efficiency and emission indices for VGT and a common turbocharger running on ESC cycle modes. 相似文献
