Study on Mechanism of Concrete Failure Induced by Steel Corrosion under Externally Applied Direct Current

With the combination of electrochemical corrosion due to straycurrent in running tunnels of metro, the formula to determine the corrosion products of rebars in reinforced concrete subjected to externally applied direct current is proposed, and the influence of corrosion on stress in concrete is also discussed. Meanwhile, the concept of corrosion stress field and its mathematical formula are presented in the paper. Finally the failure mode of concrete and its shortest breaking time are also analyzed.     

The Stochastic Stability of a Viscoelastic Cable with Small Sag

In this paper, the almost sure stability of a viscoelastic cablesubjected to an initial stress on the uniform cross section is studied. The constitutive of the cable material is assumed to be the hereditary integral type, the relaxation kernels of which are represented by the sums of exponents. The initial stress and the damping coefficient to the environment and also relaxation kernel coefficients are a random wide-band stationary process. The partial differential-integral equation of motion is derived first. Then by applying Galerkins method, the governing equation is reduced to a set of second order differential integral equations. Based on the Liapunovs direct method, sufficient conditions for almost sure stability of viscoelstic cable are obtained.

A study of traveler behavior under traffic information-provided conditions in the Beijing area

ABSTRACT

The quality of traffic information has become one of the most important factors that can affect the distribution of urban and highway traffic flow by changing the travel route, transportation mode, and travel time of travelers and trips. Past research has revealed traveler behavior when traffic information is provided. This paper summarizes the related study achievements from a survey conducted in the Beijing area with a specially designed questionnaire considering traffic conditions and the provision of traffic information services. With the survey data, a Logit model is estimated, and the results indicate that travel time can be considered the most significant factor that affects highway travel mode choice between private vehicles and public transit, whereas trip purpose is the least significant factor for private vehicle usage for both urban and highway travel.     

螺纹桩竖向承载力及其影响因素研究

为了获得较为精确且工程适用的螺纹桩竖向承载力计算公式,本文分析了螺纹桩竖向承载机理,并获得了螺纹桩竖向极限承载力理论计算公式;以现场试验极限承载力结果为参照,分析了理论计算结果的误差,误差均可接受,说明本文提出的计算公式是合理的。并对螺纹桩竖向极限承载力的影响因素进行了论述,包括螺纹桩桩身长度、螺牙宽度和厚度、螺距和桩身外径等。为螺纹桩的进一步研究应用提供理论支持。
