A dynamic lumped-parameter gear model incorporating the effects of a time-varying and asymmetric mesh stiffness and a backlash nonlinearity is formulated to analyze the spur gear rattle response under the idling condition. The proposed theory assumes a rectangular time-varying mesh stiffness function. The phase shift between the mesh stiffness for forward and backward contacts is examined. Numerical studies are employed to examine the effects of engine torque fluctuations and tooth surface friction on the gear rattle response and the corresponding tooth impact behavior. Comparisons between the results from the time-invariant mesh stiffness model and the proposed time-varying mesh stiffness model reveal differences in the gear responses, especially when the mean rotational speed of the fluctuating gear pair is non-zero. The analysis reveals significant effects on the high frequency response components. However, the idling gear dynamics are relatively insensitive to tooth surface friction.  相似文献

Aiming at the serious effect of soil and water loss on tunnel operation and safety, full-scale quasi-static loading tests were conducted regarding the ultimate bearing capacity of staggered erected tunnel linings in unload- ing situation. The design of tested lining and loading schemes were introduced. The test results, including the evolu- tion of deformation, segment crack, joint opening and bolt stress, were presented. The bearing capacity and failure mechanism of tested linings were discussed and analyzed. It shows load-displacement curve is of elastic-plastic form and the tendency of load-displacement curve is linearly rising; strength failure of circumferential joint occurs and the interaction between segments decreases, leading to decrease of integral rigidity; shearing failure of concaveconvex connector of circumferential segment joint, compression induced concrete failure of longitudinal joint and bending failure of the segment finally cause stability loss of the tunnel structure. © 2018, Editorial Office of "Modern Tunnelling Technology". With the development of urban metro systems, the influence of foundation pit construction on metro fa-cilities and related protection measures are getting more and more attention. A technical program for metro assess-ment at different phases of foundation pit construction is proposed using the statistics and analysis of a foundation pit of the Hangzhou metro. Qualitative and quantitative methods for analyzing the influence that foundation pit exca-vation has on metro systems are studied, and a series of protective measures suitable for foundation pit construction are summarized. © 2018, Editorial Office of "Modern Tunnelling Technology". A variety of construction problems, such as bad cutting effects of cutters, unreasonable boring parame- ters and blowout, are often encountered during shield tunnelling under unfavorable geological conditions. Aimed at these construction difficulties of high pressure, abundant underground water, fractured rock stratum, long distance and small-radius curves of Fuzhou metro, the mechanical behaviors of cutting tools were analyzed through theoreti- cal calculations of cutter cutting force, then the reasonable cutter configuration, tunneling parameters and the proper time for cutter replacement were presented. Some measures, such as screw conveyor renovation, mucking control and lowering of groundwater, were adopted for controlling blowout based on practice. The stability of excavation face was analyzed by numerical simulation, and the measures for shield boring and posture control in the long distance and small radius curved tunnels were summarized. The conclusions are as follows: 1) when shield machine is driven in fractured stratum, the effect of lateral impact force produced by spalling rock on cutter will be very large and rein- forcement is needed for cutter; 2) cutter replacement should be taken at proper time based on muck samples in con- ditions of increasing of total shield thrust by 4 000-7 000 kN, cutter torque by 1 000-1 500 kN•m and driving speed smaller than 10 mm/min; 3) adopting screw conveyor device with innovative anti-blowout devices and control measures for ground precipitation and mucking, it controls blowout effectively; 4) the maximum axis offset and the height offset of segment meet the requirements of shield construction specifications during shield construction of long distance small-radius curved tunnel. © 2018, Editorial Office of "Modern Tunnelling Technology". A scheme for stopping water by freezing liquid nitrogen and replacing the tail brush is presented in light of the situation encountered at the Nanjing Weisanlu river-crossing tunnel, a long-distance shield driving tunnel characterized by serious water leakage, sand gushing and water inflow at the shield tail brush. The law of the tempera-ture change of the master outlet circuits and each branch circuit when using liquid nitrogen freezing to stop water un-der high water pressures and the temperature change law for the soil body at different depths are analyzed. The re-sults show that: the temperature difference of the liquid nitrogen is large at the inlet and outlet of the freezing pipe, and it reaches around 35℃ after 6 days; the temperature drops fastest in the pebble layer, and the second fastest in the gravel sand layer, with the temperature cooling slowest in the silty fine sand layer; the average velocities at the frontal surface of the frozen soil in the pebble layer, gravel sand layer and silty fine sand layer are 15.5 cm/d, 12.5 cm/d and 8.3 cm/d, respectively, within the range 600 mm away from the frozen pipe; and affected by heat and air convection in the tunnel, the temperature at the junction of the segment and soil is higher than that in the soil layer.A complete frozen wall takes shape after 13 days of liquid nitrogen freezing, and tail brush replacement takes 22 days from freezing. © 2018, Editorial Office of "Modern Tunnelling Technology". In order to compare the ventilation efficiency and air speed of the tunnel for different parameters of ventilation openings, the acrylic board is used to build a 1:15 tunnel model and carry out the proportional model test. Four working conditions are set up to compare the ventilation in the tunnel under different ventilation openings in terms of number, length and height. The experimental results show that the air velocity distribution and ventilation efficiency change significantly under different ventilation openings in terms of number, length and height. Based on the test results, the best setting pattern of the ventilation opening is proposed in this paper. © 2018, Editorial Office of "Modern Tunnelling Technology". All right reserved.  相似文献

Abstract

In most economies, the ownership and control of state enterprises has been an important government policy instrument. This has been particularly true in the transportation sector in which governments have intervened extensively through the acquisition and creation of state enterprises. While the genesis of and rationale for transportation state enterprises have varied from country to country and even from time to time within each country, at present, most governments do exercise a significant degree of ownership and control in transportation. Some of these enterprises enjoy monopoly status and others are in competition with and behave similarly to their private sector counterparts.

Consequently, and in recent years, questions have been raised about government intervention in the market‐place as it relates to effective management control and accountability of state enterprises. Questions have also been raised about the continuing need for transportation state enterprises and some governments have promoted some form of divestiture (privatization).

This paper addresses the accountability and control of transportation state enterprises based on the Canadian experience. It discusses their role and policies related to diversification, financing and divestiture, and the need for development of a performance framework.  相似文献

This industrially-oriented research paper reports a reengineered manufacturing process design so as to assure appropriate hardness in the axle-hubs of modern motor-cars. The systems design approach and Cause-and Effect analysis tool have been applied to ensure appropriate hardness as per quality standards for the axle-hubs of the vehicle. The experimental work involved use of forging press, heat-treatment furnace, a sealed quench furnace (SQF), and a high-precision microhardness testing machine. The product (axle hub) was modeled to solve the problem of lower hardness in the axle hub. The material-processing system was then analyzed to make corrective recommendations for reengineering of heat-treatment process parameters; which were then implemented to develop a new (improved) manufacturing design to meet quality requirements for the front-axle hub of the car.  相似文献

[Objective]To simplify the ship modeling process and improve modeling efficiency, this paper proposes a method for rapidly implementing hull model creation based on hull line drawing.[Methods]Using the CATIA platform, this method adopts the component application architecture (CAA) development tool for secondary development. First, by reading the geometry elements and label information of the hull lines in a drawing, the transformation of the offset points from 2D to 3D is realized. On this basis, the creation of the hull lines, stern and bow is completed, and a 3D wireframe model obtained. Finally, the hull 3D modeling is completed in conjunction with the CATIA native surface creation command. The stability and reliability verification of the developed type value extraction and bow generation program is then carried out via application analysis.[Results]The results show that the compiled program can realize the automatic creation of offset points, transverse lines, waterlines, profile lines and other boundary lines except the top line of the wall, and the centerline and tangent lines created by the bow generator are easily modified and simple for users to operate. [Conclusions]The verification results show that the method of a creating hull model using "Generative Shape Design" and "Drafting" with the hull line drawing as the data input is stable, reliable and able to realize rapid hull modeling, giving it certain practical value. © The Author(s) 2022.  相似文献
