Dynamic train-track interaction is more complex in railway turnouts (switches and crossings) than that in ordinary tangent or curved tracks. Multiple contacts between wheel and rail are common, and severe impact loads with broad frequency contents are induced, when nominal wheel-rail contact conditions are disturbed because of the continuous variation in rail profiles and the discontinuities in the crossing panel. The absence of transition curves at the entry and exit of the turnout, and the cant deficiency, leads to large wheel-rail contact forces and passenger discomfort when the train is switching into the turnout track. Two alternative multibody system (MBS) models of dynamic interaction between train and a standard turnout design are developed. The first model is derived using a commercial MBS software. The second model is based on a multibody dynamics formulation, which may account for the structural flexibility of train and track components (based on finite element models and coordinate reduction methods). The variation in rail profile is accounted for by sampling the cross-section of each rail at several positions along the turnout. Contact between the back of the wheel flange and the check rail, when the wheelset is steered through the crossing, is considered. One of the major goals of engine designers is the reduction of fuel consumption and pollutant emissions while keeping or even
improving engine performance. In recent years, different technical issues have been investigated and incorporated into internal
combustion engines in order to fulfill these requirements. Most are related to the combustion process since it is responsible
for both fuel consumption and pollutant emissions. Additionally, the most critical operating points for an engine are both
the starting and the warming up periods (the time the engine takes to reach its nominal temperature, generally between 80°C
and 90°C), since at these points fuel consumption and pollutant emissions are larger than at any other points. Thus, reducing
the warm-up period can be crucial to fulfill new demands and regulations. This period depends strongly on the engine cooling
system and the different strategies used to control and regulate coolant flow and temperature. In the present work, the influences
of different engine cooling system configurations on the warm-up period of a Diesel engine are studied. The first part of
the work focuses on the modeling of a baseline engine cooling system and the tests performed to adjust and validate the model.
Once the model was validated, different modifications of the engine coolant system were simulated. From the modelled results,
the most favourable condition was selected in order to check on the test bench the reduction achieved in engine warm-up time
and to quantify the benefits obtained in terms of engine fuel consumption and pollutant emissions under the New European Driving
Cycle (NEDC). The results show that one of the selected configurations reduced the warm-up period by approximately 159 s when
compared with the baseline configuration. As a consequence, important reductions in fuel consumption and pollutant emissions
(HC and CO) were obtained.

The primary focus of this research is to develop an approach to capture the effect of travel time information on travelers’ route switching behavior in real-time, based on on-line traffic surveillance data. It also presents a freeway Origin–Destination demand prediction algorithm using an adaptive Kalman Filtering technique, where the effect of travel time information on users’ route diversion behavior has been explicitly modeled using a dynamic, aggregate, route diversion model. The inherent dynamic nature of the traffic flow characteristics is captured using a Kalman Filter modeling framework. Changes in drivers’ perceptions, as well as other randomness in the route diversion behavior, have been modeled using an adaptive, aggregate, dynamic linear model where the model parameters are updated on-line using a Bayesian updating approach. The impact of route diversion on freeway Origin–Destination demands has been integrated in the estimation framework. The proposed methodology is evaluated using data obtained from a microscopic traffic simulator, INTEGRATION. Experimental results on a freeway corridor in northwest Indiana establish that significant improvement in Origin–Destination demand prediction can be achieved by explicitly accounting for route diversion behavior. 相似文献

This paper proposes an advanced permanent magnet (PM) motor drive modeling for dynamic analysis of automotive control systems
with PM motor drives. To enhance the reusability of the proposed PM motor drive model, each component is modeled in an object-oriented
manner according to the physical partitioning of a real drive system, and userfriendly and well-organized interfaces are also
proposed. These characteristics enable this model to be used as a kind of a programming library. A multi-level modeling strategy
is also proposed, which helps make a compromise between model accuracy and simulation speed without structural modification
of the system model. The model and modeling strategy developed allow for a comprehensive analysis of each component and dynamic

The powertrain of an ultra-capacitor-based parallel hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) was developed. Innovations, such as the
engine management system, floating ISG (Integrated Starter and Generator), electronic-controlled double-clutch system and
dual-driven air conditioning system were realized. Hybrid control strategies to improve the fuel economy and reduce emissions
were analyzed briefly. In order to ensure the vehicle emission performance, the engine management system calibration was performed.
The vehicle emission test was also conducted, showing that the vehicle emission satisfied the EURO III standard and has great
potential for improvement. The hybrid start test was introduced in detail. We realized the hybrid function and start parameter
