The objective of this study is to develop a tool for investigation of wheel tread polygonalization with radial irregularities including 1 to 20 wavelengths around the circumference of the wheel. Therefore, an existing multibody system model for simulation of general three-dimensional train-track interaction (accounting for frequencies up to several kHz) is extended with rolling contact mechanics according to FASTSIM. Furthermore, the model is also modified to allow for general wheel-rail profiles. The numerical model uses the concept of an iteration scheme including simulation of dynamic train-track interaction in the time domain coupled with a long-term wear model. A demonstration example including a bogie of a subway train travelling on a straight track is presented. In the example, an initial wheel out-of-roundness (OOR) is applied to the wheels. This irregularity is based on an amplitude spectrum derived from measurements on new wheels. Simulation results show that the most important wavelength-fixing mechanisms of the wheel OOR are (i) the vertical resonance of the coupled train-track system at approximately 40 Hz (the P2 resonance) and (ii) the frequency region including the lowest vertical track antiresonance at 165 Hz, where the dynamic track stiffness is high. Only a straight track is studied, but the model allows for asymmetric train motion on such a track.  相似文献

During a repeat grid survey and drogue study carried out in austral summer 1994/95, the abundance and feeding activity of salps were estimated in the Lazarev Sea region from net tows and in situ measurements of gut fluorescence. Throughout the survey area, Salpa thompsoni accounted for >95% of the total salp stock while Ihlea racovitzai was consistently represented in very low abundances. Maximum densities of S. thompsoni, with ≈4000 ind. 1000 m−3, were recorded in the Marginal Ice Zone (MIZ) in December when chlorophyll-a concentrations were well below 1 mg m−3. A dramatic decrease in salp stock was observed at the beginning of January, when S. thompsoni virtually disappeared from the most productive area of the MIZ where chlorophyll-a concentrations had by then reached bloom levels of 1.5–3 mg (Chl-a) m−3. In situ grazing measurements showed that throughout the cruise S. thompsoni exhibited the highest ingestion rates per individual of any of the most abundant components of the grazing pelagic community, with maxima of ≈160 μg (pigm) ind. −1 d−1. These feeding rates are 3 to 5 times higher than those previously obtained using in vitro incubations. The total daily consumption of the population of S. thompsoni varied from 0.3 to 108% of daily primary production. We suggest that competitive removal of food by S. thompsoni, rather than direct predation, is responsible for the low krill abundances generally associated with salp swarms.  相似文献

对停车政策类型缺乏广泛理解会导致对城市停车政策的混淆。通过对各地停车政策学术研究和实践应用的综述,指出以往的政策分类或缺乏完整性,过于简单、不准确,或无法洞悉差异背后的本质。并且没有一项研究能对每种停车政策及改革背后的政策思路进行分析。为弥补这些缺陷,提出一种关于停车政策新的分类方法。该方法清晰地指出不同停车改革政策背后思维模式的差异。通过回顾不同地区(国际和都市区内部地区)停车改革实践,验证分类方法的价值并提出改进措施。通过两个关键问题定义三种停车政策模式。每个模式对停车作为一种经济产品的本质提出不同的基础假设。通过第三个问题确立分类模式的第三个维度。新方法的提出能减少由于合并不同形式造成的停车争论偏好的混淆,包括假两难推理和偷换概念等关键替代形式。  相似文献

水泥混凝土桥面钢筋腐蚀是一普遍且复杂的问题,采用替代钢筋能有效地预防或延缓钢筋腐蚀,而近年应用的MMFX-2钢被认为具有更好的抗锈蚀性能。印第安纳州交通厅对现有的MMFX-2钢的研究成果进行了综合分析,并修建了现场试验桥面以长期评价MMFX钢筋抗腐蚀能力。同普通碳钢相比,MMFX-2钢的屈服强度和抗拉强度更高、抗腐蚀性更好,但没有明显的屈服点。试验桥面铺装的实验结果表明,施工竣工不久至竣工两年期间,MMFX-2钢筋腐蚀很少,混凝土中氯化物含量没有达到钢筋去钝化水平,但在桥面铺装上部氯离子浓度显著增加。笔者建议对于氯化物影响较大场合的混凝土桥面铺装,如果希望提供二次腐蚀保护时,可考虑使用MMFX-2钢。  相似文献

This paper has been developed in the framework of the alternative beam T-junction solution previously propoused by the authors (Alcalá et al., 2013), with the scope of optimizing the behavior of buses and coaches upper structures modeled with beam type elements. The alternative beam T-junction model proposed by the authors, had a total of six elastic elements at the junction level allowing to modify the localized rigidity of any modeled T-junctions, therefore improving their behavior and avoiding the well known rigidity issue these elements have. A fundamental aspect behind the use of these alternative beam models is related to the necessity of correctly estimating the rigidity values of the elastic elements for each modeled T-junction. In this context, we propose applying a surrogate model for the reference calculations which is based on statistical Bayesian kriging predictors. Statistical predictions have the added value, with respect to deterministic solutions, of providing a quantification of uncertainty. The development of the kriging predictors has required the application of a statistical methodology including computer experiment design, computation of moments of inertia, graphical and ANOVA type sensitivity analysis and Monte Carlo computation of Bayesian inference. The results of the application have been a very satisfactory trade-off between accuracy of approximation (prediction) and computational cost. The surrogate kriging models also provide an useful tool for a better understanding of the input-output relationships involved in the reference computations.  相似文献

Increasing petroleum prices, increasing threat to the environment from exhaust emissions and global warming have generated intense international interest in developing renewable and alternative non-petroleum fuels for engines. Evolving feasible technology and recurring energy crisis necessitated a continued investigation into the search for sustainable and clean-burning renewable fuels. In this investigation, Honge oil methyl ester (HOME) was used in a four stroke, single cylinder diesel engine. Tests were carried out to study the effect of fuel injection timing, fuel injector opening pressure (IOP) and injector nozzle geometry on the performance and combustion of CI engine fuelled with HOME. Injection timing was varied from 19°bTDC (before top dead centre) to 27°bTDC in incremental steps of 4°bTDC; injector opening pressure was varied from 210 bar to 240 bar in steps of 10 bar. Nozzle injectors of 3, 4 and 5 holes, each of 0.2, 0.25 and 0.3 mm size were selected for the study. It was concluded that retarded injection timing of 19°bTDC, increased injector opening pressure of 230 bar and 4 hole nozzle injector of 0.2 mm size resulted in overall better engine performance with increased brake thermal efficiency (BTE) and reduced HC, CO, smoke emissions. Further air-fuel mixing was improved using swirl induced techniques which enhanced the engine performance as well.  相似文献

This study investigates the relationship between land use and shopping tour generation using an activity-based shopping model that captures the effects of land use patterns on household decisions of shopping tour frequency, tour scheduling and mode choice. The model was calibrated using travel data collected in three traditional neighborhoods located in the Puget Sound region, WA, and shopping travel patterns across seven common household structures were analyzed. The results reveal that land use patterns have virtually no impact on overall shopping tour frequency. However, land use does seem to be associated with decisions about the type of shopping tours undertaken. For example, households with poorer accessibility tend to make fewer one-stop shopping tours, and are more likely to combine shoppingtrips with other trips to form multi-stop shopping tours as a means of compensating for locational deficiencies. Finally, we also found that traditional neighborhood residents who live closer to the neighborhood commercial street, and thus, have greater accessibility, are more inclined to use non-auto modes for one-stop shopping tours.  相似文献

This paper reviews a number of themes that have played a crucial role in the debate on alternative contracting regimes for the provision of urban bus services. We have selected four crucial issues to reflect on: (i) contractual regimes (in particular competitive tendering as compared to negotiated performance-based contracts, as means to award the rights to provide service); (ii) contract completeness (focussing on ex ante and ex post elements); (iii) building trust through partnership; and (iv) tactical or system level planning for bus services. Experience in these areas suggests that competitive tendering has frequently not lived up to expectations and that negotiation is likely in many circumstances to deliver better value for money.  相似文献

This paper presents a qualitative assessment of the risk perceptions held by key Australian stakeholder groups in the context of tollroads operated under the public-private-partnership model. The findings confirm that experience accumulated in recent years has contributed toward the betterment of risk-sharing optimisation amongst the contracting parties. The knowledge acquired through in-depth interviews supports the common view that equitable risk sharing is the vital ingredient of value for money. The proposition that the private sector is better equipped to manage commercial risks involving economic decision making whilst risks that have embedded unquantifiable social and public values and those in the domain of public governance are best left with government alone, appears to be replete with refutable implications. Public perception is a malleable concept and should be managed by both sectors.  相似文献

The acoustic analogy represents a powerful and versatile approach, able to numerically predict the noise generated by a body moving in a fluid. It is widely used to provide essential indications about the aeroacoustic behavior of aircraft and helicopters (even at a design stage) and, eventually, to pursue effective strategies aimed at desirable reduction and/or control of noise. Nevertheless, applications in the area of hydroacoustics and in the prediction of ship underwater noise are very rare. In this paper, the potential of the acoustic analogy is directly tested on a large ferry, for which a measurement campaign at sea was performed. In spite of the complexity of the tested configuration [the ship mounts two contracted and loaded tip (CLT) propellers located ahead of two rudders, and its hull is characterized by a rather elongated skeg] and the many variables not taken into account in the numerical simulation (such as the contribution from machinery noise and the probable occurrence of tip vortex cavitation), the agreement between the measured and computed noise spectra is quite satisfactory. The analysis suggests many interesting features of the ship hydroacoustic field: the dominant role played by nonlinear sources far from the body and the relevance of scattering effects from the hull surface. Furthermore, the scattered pressure seems to contribute to alter the frequency content of the resulting signatures with respect to the blade passage frequencies. Finally, an overview of future developments and applications of this numerical approach for marine/maritime problems is presented.  相似文献
