Elliptical splats based isosurface visualization for volume data

Elliptical splats are used to represent and render the isosurface of volume data. The method consists of two steps. The first step is to extract points on the isosurface by looking up the case table. In the second step, properties of splats are computed based on local geometry. Rendering is achieved using surface splatting algorithm. The obtained results show that the extraction time of isosurfaces can be reduced by a factor of three. So our approach is more appropriate for interactive visualization of large medical data than the classical marching cubes (MC) technique.     

Speckle reduction based on contourlet transform using scale adaptive threshold for medical ultrasound image

A new speckle suppression method in contourlet domain was presented. By modeling the subband contourlet coefficients of the ultrasound images after logarithmic transform as generalized Gaussian distribution (GGD), we gave a scale-adaptive threshold in Bayesian framework. Experimental results of both synthetic and clinical ultrasound images show that our method has a better performance on speckle suppressing than the wavelet-based method while well preserving the feature details.     

Criteria of human-computer interface design for computer assisted surgery systems

In recent years, computer assisted surgery (CAS) systems become more and more common in clinical practices, but few specific design criteria have been proposed for human-computer interface (HCI) in CAS systems. This paper tried to give universal criteria of HCI design for CAS systems through introduction of demonstration application, which is total knee replacement (TKR) with a nonimage-based navigation system. A typical computer assisted process can be divided into four phases: the preoperative planning phase, the intraoperative registration phase, the intraoperative navigation phase and finally the postoperative assessment phase. The interface design for four steps is described respectively in the demonstration application. These criteria this paper summarized can be useful to software developers to achieve reliable and e?ective interfaces for new CAS systems more easily.     

改进非参数回归在交通流量预测中的应用

实时、准确的短时交通流量预测是实现交通控制与诱导的关键。结合模式识别的思想,提出基于模式识别的非参数回归算法,并将之应用于短时交通流量预测,最后用仿真试验检验了方法的有效性,仿真试验结果表明,该方法具有较高的预测精度。     

一种基于模式识别的故障在线诊断方法

该项研究的目的是为了提高快速实时自动控制系统在线故障诊断能力，介绍了一个基于模式识别的故障在线诊断系统，并结合一个电力电子电路故障诊断实例说明了该系统的具体实现。针对采用软件实现时在线诊断能力不强的缺点，提出了一种软硬件相结合的方法，以提高在线诊断能力。重点讨论了实现这一方法的专用波形采集卡的结构和功能，往往以及相关的技术处理措施。实验结果表明，该方法思路正确，显著地提高了在线故障诊断能力。     

基于SnO2气体传感器阵列电子鼻系统设计

介绍了一种基于SnO2气体传感器阵列电子鼻系统的设计方案。描述了电子鼻系统的工作原理及系统的硬件组成结构,设计了基于SnO2气体传感器的加热电路及信号调理与采集电路,采用VC++设计了上位机数据采集与模式识别软件。通过实验,验证了BP网络模式识别算法应用于电子鼻系统是可行的。     

点匹配问题的极坐标算法和三角形算法

点模式匹配在比较两幅由不同时间或同一时间不同传感器采集的图像时，是常用的方法之一，许实时应用系统对匹配效率有很高的要求，文中构造了一个基于极坐标转换的算法和一个基于三角形近似顺序全等的算法，两个算法都具有原理简明，识别能力强，计算速度快的特点，文末对两个算法进行了比较，并用数值实例加以验证。     

探测位置数据处理技术的现状、发展和对策

作战指挥系统的重要任务之一就是对获得的或／和探测到的目标空间位置数据进行处理(称为位置探测数据处理，滤波和数据融合等都属于这方面的技术)。由于位置探测数据处理是由计算机完成的。所以位置探测数据处理方法的选择都不可避免地受到当时计算机运算速度等技术的限制。随着计算机技术的发展。计算机对位置探测数据处理计算量的限制正在大幅度地减弱。那么那些在“老的”计算机限制下选用的位置探测数据处理方法是否还适应现在需求，是否有必要在“新的”计算机平台上重新研究和选用新的位置探测数据处理方法以适应未来军事的需求。新的位置探测数据处理方法可能改进领域和相关的解决方法，以及位置探测数据处理发展方向和趋势是本文研讨的主要内容。     

模式识别技术在桥梁状态评估与安全监测中的应用

将模式识别技术应用于桥梁结构状态评估与安全监测中,提出修正的欧氏距离与相似系数两种对响应信号特征向量进行统计分析的量化参数。提取出能较好反映出桥梁结构状态的特征参数,组合成特征向量。选择正常使用状态下多次实测数据特征向量的平均值作为基准状态,分别计算其他各次实测数据的特征向量,得到各次实测情况下特征向量与基准状态下特征向量之间修正的欧氏距离与相似系数。对桥梁正常运营状态进行监测,可得到修正的欧氏距离与相似系数的统计容许范围,作为桥梁结构状态评估的经验数字依据。
