Traffic rationing and pricing in a linear monocentric city

This paper presents a simple spatial equilibrium model for a linear monocentric city to investigate the effects of rationing and pricing on morning commuters' travel cost and modal choice behavior in each location. Under rationing and pricing, every day in the morning peak hour, each commuter is classified as either “free” or “rationed”. “Free” commuters are allowed to use the highway without paying the toll, whereas “rationed” commuters can avoid the toll only if they travel by transit. Each day, a fraction of commuters are rationed in their free use of the highway, and the rationing fractions are determined systematically so that everyone is equally rationed in a given period. It is found that Pareto‐improving rationing and pricing scheme might be obtained as a combination of the rationing degree and the toll associated with rationing. Extension to the rationing and pricing scheme with cordon and park‐and‐ride service has been made. Cordon and park‐and‐ride might help in improving the efficiency of rationing and pricing strategy although remains its Pareto‐improving property. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

对某地下停车场通风系统建立了数学模型,并利用该模型对地下停车场通风系统进行了仿真研究。研究结果表明:对不同的地下停车场可采用如单速风机控制、双速风机控制以及CO浓度反馈控制等不同的控制方案。该项研究为地下停车场通风系统控制方案的选择提供了理论依据。

为了研究大型主题公园客流规模预测方法，以西安童世界乐园客流规模预测为例，提出大型主题公园客流规模预测基本分析方法。从区域旅游市场总体规模预测着手，基于人口、经济、交通三大因素分析客源空间分布特征，引入与产品特性密切相关的市场渗透率指标，预测了主题公园年客流总规模。

绥德地区物流园区选址及布置方案研究

综合考虑城市总体规划、联合运输、环境保护、节省投资和地区未来铁路建设发展的需求等因素,根据包西铁路通道及太(太原)中(中卫)银(银川)铁路的车流特点,提出绥德地区物流园选址应遵循的原则,达到总体规划和统筹兼顾的目的,通过比选分析选择四十里铺开站的Ⅰ-1四十里铺车站改建神延线方案、Ⅰ-2四十里铺车站环形联络线方案、Ⅰ-3四十里铺车站新增牵出线方案;建议采用Ⅰ-1四十里铺车站改建包西线右线方案。     

Estimating the Economic Benefit of SCUBA Diving in the Similan Islands,Thailand

This article reports the results of the travel cost model using the standard and the truncated count data models to estimate the economic value of the Similan Islands, Thailand, from SCUBA diving. The estimated consumer surplus per visit to the Similan Islands using the truncated negative binomial model was US$3,233 and the economic value of the Similan Islands from SCUBA diving was estimated to be up to US$54.96 m. This study shows that, even without non-use values, coral reefs of the Similan Islands, if properly managed and maintained, will continue to have significant value to both Thai and overseas SCUBA divers, as one of the natural treasures of the world.
