ABSTRACTCollision avoidance is a crucial function for all ground vehicles, and using integrated chassis systems to support the driver presents a growing opportunity in active safety. With actuators such as in-wheel electric motors, active front steer and individual wheel brake control, there is an opportunity to develop integrated chassis systems that fully support the driver in safety critical situations. Here we consider the scenario of an impending frontal collision with a stationary or slower moving vehicle in the same driving lane. Traditionally, researchers have approached the required collision avoidance manoeuver as a hierarchical scheme, which separates the decision-making, path planning and path tracking. In this context, a key decision is whether to perform straight-line braking, or steer to change lanes, or indeed perform combined braking and steering. This paper approaches the collision avoidance directly from the perspective of constrained dynamic optimisation, using a single optimisation procedure to cover these aspects within a single online optimisation scheme of model predictive control (MPC). While the new approach is demonstrated in the context of a fully autonomous safety system, it is expected that the same approach can incorporate driver inputs as additional constraints, yielding a flexible and coherent driver assistance system. 相似文献

This paper develops an integrated model for reliable estimation of daily vehicle fuel savings and emissions using an integrated traffic emission modeling approach created by incorporating the US Environmental Protection Agency’s vehicle emission model, MOVES, and the PARAMICS microscopic traffic simulation package. A case study is conducted to validate the model using a well-calibrated road network in Greenville, South Carolina. This paper proposes a model system to forecast household greenhouse gas emissions (GHGEs) from private transportation. The proposed model combines an integrated discrete-continuous car ownership model with MOVES 2014. Four modeling components are calibrated and applied to the calculation of GHGEs: vehicle quantity, vehicle type and vintage, miles traveled, and rates of GHGEs. The model is applied to the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area. Three tax schemes are evaluated: vehicle ownership tax, purchase tax and fuel tax. We calculate that the average GHGEs per vehicle is 5.15 tons of carbon dioxide-equivalent (CO2E) gases. Our results show that: (a) a fuel tax is the most effective way to reduce vehicle GHGEs, especially for households with fewer vehicles; (b) a purchase tax reduces vehicle GHGEs mainly by decreasing vehicle quantity for households with more vehicles; and (c) an ownership tax reduces vehicle GHGEs by decreasing both vehicle quantity and miles traveled. 相似文献

针对目前对于双离合自动变速器(Dual Clutch Transmission,DCT)汽车驾驶员起步过程中意图变化的研究有限,且现有方法的识别准确率不高这一问题,提出了一种基于主成分分析(Principal Component Analysis,PCA)和支持向量机(Support Vector Machines,SVM)的变化起步意图识别模型。根据驾驶员针对车辆反馈的反应时间,将起步过程划分为6个阶段;基于K均值聚类确定各个阶段的缓慢起步、一般起步、紧急起步这3种起步意图的界限;基于主成分分析挖掘出各个阶段起步意图识别的新特征;在此基础上构建6个SVM模型,并利用这6个模型分别对各阶段的起步意图进行识别。经过验证,该模型的平均测试准确率为94.92%,比只利用线性SVM模型高16.89%,且单个模型的平均耗时为0.008 s,能够快速有效地识别出DCT汽车驾驶员的起步意图。 相似文献
