Traffic speed is a crucial input for real-time traffic management applications. Operating agencies typically deploy their own sensors to collect the measurements, e.g., loop detectors. Recently, SpeedInfo emerged with a different paradigm for traffic speed collection: instead of selling hardware to operating agencies, at each link the company deploys its own Doppler radar in a self-contained wireless unit to measure traffic speeds and then sells the speed data. This study uses well-tuned loop detector-based speed measurements to evaluate 15 of the Doppler radar sensors over several months while the two traffic data collection systems were operating concurrently. The extended study period includes potentially challenging and transient conditions for the radar sensors: both recurrent (rush hour congestion and late night low flow) and nonrecurrent (incidents and precipitation). The analysis took a broad overview, comparing speed measurements from the radar sensors against the concurrent loop detector data and then explicitly looked for any anomalous pattern in the radar data such as latency and system outages. The work found the radar measurements are generally good, but also identified several points that should be considered before deployment, including latency, different biases in free flow and congestion, vulnerability to precipitation, and sensitivity to mounting angle.  相似文献

Estimates by the World Health Organization suggest that, on a yearly basis, road crashes kill 1.25 million people—nearly 3400 road fatalities per day—and injure up to 50 million. Traffic injuries are not equally spread over the world, however; some countries are hit harder than others, and the chance of being killed in a road crash depends on where one lives. Almost 90% of all traffic casualties occur in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). Globally, the number of fatalities per 100,000 population (mortality rate) ranges from less than 3 to almost 40. The rate is less than 9 in high-income countries (HIC) but averages around 20 in LMIC, with the African region demonstrating the highest rate (26.6). While road safety trends have been positive in HIC over the last few decades, trends in LMIC are not telling a positive story: road fatalities are expected to increase to almost 2 million road fatalities per year by 2020.The United Nations has adopted several resolutions on road safety and proposes actions to tackle the global road safety crisis. Considering the current level of road safety to be unacceptable, the UN has taken several initiatives. One effort, the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011–2020, has generated substantial activity around the world over the last couple of years. Furthermore, it is very encouraging that the UN included road safety in the Sustainable Development Goals that it laid out in September 2015. Road safety is part of the public health agenda and the urban development agenda. Measured in “real actions,” however, the responses so far from the overall global community and individual countries do not suggest that we are already on the right track to bringing down the death toll on roads.The future of road safety is uncertain and definitely not the same for all regions of the world. Countries with a mature road safety approach and an ambition to make further progress are expected to move in the direction of a pro-active approach: a Safe System approach. It is reported that many LMIC, meanwhile, are on the brink of designing road safety strategies and implementing action plans. The international community is willing to support LMIC, but LMIC cannot simply copy successful HIC strategies because local circumstances differ. The principles of successful HIC strategies are applicable, but the priorities and action plans should take root in and align with local conditions.  相似文献

地铁工程项目是典型的高风险大型复杂项目,施工安全风险事故多发且引发因素众多。为明确施工过程中存在的致险因素,为安全风险事故的预控提供依据,选取2002—2015年国内151例地铁施工安全风险事故报告,借助R语言和文本挖掘的方法,分别对事故报告进行分词处理、特征项选择、向量空间模型构建、共现规律识别,并利用词云和网络结构图等方法可视化文本挖掘结果;从中发现地铁施工安全风险事故的6项关键致险因素和23项一般致险因素,并以关键致险因素为基础构建致险因素集合,为地铁施工安全风险事故的预控提供参考。  相似文献

为合理应用决策数据中不同专家的背景知识,找出地铁施工过程中安全测评体系的关注重点,根据地铁施工的特点和SHEL安全模型理论,建立以人-软件(L-S)、人-硬件(L-H)、人-环境(L-E)和人-人(L-L)4个环节为基础的钻爆法地铁施工安全指标体系。请专家给出指标语义评价等级和指标权重语义评价等级,并根据其与三角模糊数的对应关系分别得出三角模糊数评价值。针对不同专家的重要性程度差异,提出基于三角模糊数的群一致性评价方法,得出专家综合权重,集结评价数据,最终得到安全评价结果。最后,对青岛地铁1号线过海段进行实例分析。结果表明,该方法可以解决群评价过程中专家个体权威与群体共识难以兼顾的问题,能够充分利用群决策中的原始评价信息,提高地铁施工安全水平评价的准确性。  相似文献

针对城市轨道交通PPP融资成本高、投资回收期长、不确定性因素多等特点导致整个融资过程充满风险,且难以进行科学的评价,进而增加风险评价难度的问题,提出基于OWA与灰色聚类的城市轨道交通PPP融资风险评价方法。首先从全寿命周期角度构建城市轨道交通PPP融资风险指标体系。然后基于OWA算子对专家决策数据按照降序的方式重新排序,消除极值带来的不利影响,加权得出指标的权重值。最后考虑指标的灰色性、信息不完整性,构建灰色白化权函数实现指标信息的透明化,完成对PPP融资风险的聚类分析。应用构建的模型对郑州地铁1号线一期工程PPP融资风险进行评价,认为该地铁工程PPP融资风险等级高,应重点关注前期策划、社会资本、政策环境、设计质量、成本超支、建设质量、残值7个主要风险指标的控制,以期为该项目融资风险管理提供建议,并进一步丰富城市轨道交通PPP融资风险的评价方法。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A state-of-the-art discussion on the applications of magneto-rheological (MR) suspensions for improving ride comfort, handling, and stability in ground vehicles is discussed for both road and rail applications. A historical perspective on the discovery and engineering development of MR fluids is presented, followed by some of the common methods for modelling their non-Newtonian behaviour. The common modes of the MR fluids are discussed, along with the application of the fluid in valve mode for ground vehicles’ dampers (or shock absorbers). The applications span across nearly all road vehicles, including automobiles, trains, semi-trucks, motorcycles, and even bicycles. For each type of vehicle, the results of some of the past studies is presented briefly, with reference to the originating study. It is discussed that Past experimental and modelling studies have indicated that MR suspensions provide clear advantages for ground vehicles that far surpasses the performance of passive suspension. For rail vehicles, the primary advantage is in terms of increasing the speed at which the onset of hunting occurs, whereas for road vehicles – mainly automobiles – the performance improvements are in terms of a better balance between vehicle ride, handling, and stability. To further elaborate on this point, a single-suspension model is used to develop an index-based approach for studying the compromise that is offered by vehicle suspensions, using the H2 optimisation approach. Evaluating three indices based on the sprung-mass acceleration, suspension rattlespace, and tyre deflection, it is clearly demonstrated that MR suspensions significantly improve road vehicle’s ride comfort, stability, and handling in comparison with passive suspensions. For rail vehicles, the simulation results indicate that using MR suspensions with an on-off switching control can increase the speed at which the on-set of hunting occurs by as much as 50% to more than 300%.  相似文献

为有效评价道路运行状况,通过分析车辆在行驶过程中运行状态的变化,研究了一种基于两阶段K-means聚类(TSKC)的道路运行状况评价方法.针对K-means聚类数选取的任意性和聚类中心选取的随机性问题,提出基于遍历的K-means聚类方法,采用类吸引度确定聚类数和初始中心,并以此为初始条件进行第二阶段K-means聚类,得到交通模式.提出模式吸引度、路段评价指数、分布均衡度,并用这些指标来评价路段交通运行状况.以北京市朝阳区北辰东路为例进行验证,结果表明,该方法比传统道路评价方法更细致、全面、直观地描绘了车辆状态的演变过程和交通模式的分布情况,具有良好的实用性.  相似文献

燃料电池船舶运载着大量氢气作为燃料,在给船舶带来动力的同时,也因其易泄漏、爆炸等特性对船舶安全带来了威胁.针对船舶燃料电池舱内发生氢气泄漏的情景,选取目标船舶建立其燃料电池舱三维几何模型,并基于理想气体模型和氢气泄漏参数,计算出氢气从管道的泄漏值.再基于流体计算软件Fluent,选取适合的气体扩散模型,通过边界条件的设置,开展对舱门开闭和通风口状态的联合通风条件下氢气在舱内的扩散过程的瞬态数值仿真实验,并对不同条件下的舱内氢气浓度分布和发展规律进行了对比分析.仿真结果表明,在舱室上方的4个角落处,氢气的聚积浓度更高,是氢气探测器安装的最佳位置;在通风口保持自然通风的条件下,打开舱门可以使氢气的最终浓度降低20%左右;在单个通风口采用强制通风的通风量达到6 m3/s时,燃料电池舱内的氢气向其他舱室的扩散浓度可以维持在4%的安全浓度以下,且整个舱室的氢气浓度都可以保持在一个较低的水平,而继续增大通风量对氢气浓度的降低效果并不显著.  相似文献

针对高速公路交通事故现场快速隔离、警示和防护等日益增强的需求,提出一种新型路锥自动投收装置的系统设计方案.针对传统大型路锥投收装置费用高、结构复杂的弊端,利用虚拟样机技术开展紧凑型路锥自动铺设、回收一体化装置的机械结构的设计,包括路锥的叠置、拾取、传送、放置等机构.并利用Pro/E、ADMAS等仿真软件进行仿真测试.基于ARM提出嵌入式的系统总体设计方案:以uCOS-II操作系统为平台,以STM32系列单片机为CPU,完成控制器的软硬件设计,并采用"S"型加减速控制曲线策略实现电机的平滑控制.基于Android开发了操作方便、友好的人机交互接口,以"蓝牙"作为上下位机的通信桥梁,以RSA算法作为上下位机数据交互中的安全的保障.实车测试结果表明,该设计方案的路锥投放与回收成功率均达到95%,基本符合要求.但高、低速时路锥投放、回收的成功率差异较大(6%),此外,路锥的倒伏率达到5%,该单项指标基本不满足设计要求.  相似文献
