基于Paramics的ETC专用车道布设位置仿真

研究了高速公路收费站ETC车道的设置位置与整个收费站的运行效率的关系,从而优化车道布置。基于Paramics仿真软件,以上海市某高速公路主线收费站出口为例,以降低车辆运行延误、减少收费站排队长度为优化目标,通过对比新增ETC专用车道分别设置在不同位置下的收费站运行效率,研究ETC专用车道的最佳布设位置。经过分析,在收费车道数较多的情况下,两侧各设置1条ETC车道有利于减少车辆交织,提高收费站的运行效率。

Battening down the hatches: How should the maritime industries weather the financial tsunami?

This paper investigates the major impacts of the financial tsunami on the maritime industries, notably port and shipping. The maritime industries are still reeling from market declines, with stakeholders still attempting to weather the storm as best as they can through various strategies. However, such strategies are not uniform, where significant diversifications have been noted between major markets and stakeholders. Looking ahead, this paper has identified four major issues, of which they are believed to play key roles in shaping the maritime industries in the post-2008 world. They include the changing patterns of global trades, the importance of being green, the changing government-industrial relations and the need for transparency. Each of these issues has the potential to alter the future maritime industries in diversified, but significant, ways.

基于Inmarsat的数字通信软件CemailFax

CemailFax所必须的最低硬件配置为:一台有串口便携式个人电脑,一台Inmarsat终端。软件采用VC 编程实现,通过ADO数据库实现对用户的管理,通过串口编程实现对Inmarsat终端的控制以及数据传输。CemailFax实现了简单易懂的用户界面,实用的单机多用户机制,以及可以与国际同类软件相匹敌的数据传输速率。CemailFax与国际上同类软件相比,创新之处就在于被拨叫Inmarsat地面站可选和它的中文处理能力。     

第五代集装箱船在黄浦江内掉头

第五代集装箱船来上海港面临的最大困难是在黄浦江内掉头。作者收集了第五代集装箱船的有关资料，结合黄浦江掉头区地理环境、风流影响、拖轮配置及掉头方式、掉头时机选择等。通过计算机模拟试验，经多次拟合，取得了不同条件下组合的操作要令。结合实际操纵，取得成功。本文将理论与实际操作结合，对港内操纵超大型船舶掉头提供了参考依据。     

Curbing automobile use for sustainable transportation: analysis of mode choice on short home-based trips

This paper analyzes transportation mode choice for short home-based trips using a 1999 activity survey from the Puget Sound region of Washington State, U.S.A. Short trips are defined as those within the 95th percentile walking distance in the data, here 1.40 miles (2.25 km). The mean walking distance was 0.4 miles (0.6 km). The mode distribution was automobile (75%), walk (23%), bicycle (1%), and bus (1%). Walk and bicycle are found less likely as the individual’s age increases. People are more likely to drive if they can or are accustomed to. People in multi-person families are less likely to walk or use bus, especially families with children. An environment that attracts people’s interest and provides activity opportunities encourages people to walk on short trips. Influencing people’s choice of transport mode on short trips should be an important part of efforts encouraging the use of non-automobile alternatives.

Design of income-equitable toll prices for high occupancy toll lanes in a single toll facility

Income inequity potentially exists under high occupancy toll (HOT) lanes whereby higher-income travelers may reap the benefits of the facility. An income-based multi-toll pricing approach is proposed for a single HOT lane facility in a network to maximize simultaneously the toll revenue and address the income equity concern, while ensuring a minimum level-of-service on the HOT lanes and that the toll prices do not exceed pre-specified thresholds. The problem is modeled as a bi-level optimization formulation. The upper level model maximizes revenue for the tolling authority subject to pre-specified upper bounds on tolls. The lower level model solves the stochastic user equilibrium problem. An agent-based solution approach is used to determine the toll prices by considering the tolling authority and commuters as agents. Results from numerical experiments indicate that a multi-toll pricing scheme is more equitable and can yield higher revenues compared to a single toll price scheme across travelers.     

公交专用进口道对信号控制交叉口通行能力的影响

为了对公交专用进口道设置前后交叉口运行效率做出评价,定量分析其对公交车辆运行的改善效果及对社会车辆的影响,通过分析各种实测饱和车头时距,提出考虑公共汽车形成车队行驶影响的交叉口进口道通行能力大车修正。进一步提出有、无公交专用进口道情况下的社会车辆、公交车辆和车道组的通行能力计算模型,并通过了仿真验证。模型分析表明,公共汽车形成车队行驶会对通行能力产生正面影响,设置公交专用进口道对社会车辆的影响没有预期的严重,当公共汽车在一定比例的情况下可能同时提高公共汽车和社会车辆的通行能力。最后通过实际交叉口案例分析,对结果进行了验证。

苏州市正面临着出行向机动化方式转变的关键时期,公交优先作为缓解城市拥堵的重要策略,是苏州城市可持续发展的重要保障。文章首先分析了优先发展公共交通对苏州的重要意义,阐述了苏州公交发展所面一陆的挑战,接着探讨了如何从规划、政策、服务、管理和具体技术措施如公交专用道的车道位置选择、公交专用道的隔离方式与交通标志设置、公交专用道的停靠站设置形式等几方面保障公交优先发展。文章最后提出了苏州优先发展公共交通的几点建议。
