The Instrumented City (iC) database is a multi-purpose, transport-related database facility for use by the entire academic transport research community. Data from the UK Leicester City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council Traffic Management Computers is logged and archived on a continuous basis, by the Leeds University’s Institute for Transport Studies. Since its inception in 1992, the iC database has been used for various real-time applications such as air quality and noise monitoring, modelling and forecasting. This paper describes the framework that demonstrates the feasibility of using multi-agents as information analysts to process and manage the iC database. The agents are adaptive, interactive and personal. They can be trained via the interactions with the users to be personalised for individual preferences. These agents are designed to be responsible for (1) data clean-up to remove outliers; (2) missing data substitutions; (3) statistical data analysis; (4) data mining to enhance the understanding of the relationships between traffic and air quality, noise and health; and (5) knowledge discovery by identifying unknown but potentially important patterns. 相似文献

The interaction between the agents is based on the functionally accurate, cooperative paradigm, a distributed problem solving approach aimed at producing consistent solutions without requiring the agents to have shared access to all globally available information. The cornerstone of this approach is the assumption that effective solutions can be efficiently obtained even when complete and up-to-date information is not directly available to the agents, thus reducing the need for complex data communication networks and synchronization time delays. The simulation-based evaluation of the system performance validates this assumption. A model of highway traffic noise is formulated based on vehicle types. The data were collected from local highways in Thailand with free-flow traffic conditions. First, data on vehicle noise was collected from individual vehicles using sound level meters placed at a reference distance. Simultaneously, measurements were made of vehicles’ spot speeds. Secondly, are data for building the highway traffic noise model. This consists of traffic noise levels, traffic volumes by vehicle classification, average spot speeds by vehicle type, and the geometric dimension of highway sections. The free-flow traffic noise model is generated from this database. A reference energy mean emission level (the basic noise) level for each type of vehicles is developed based on direct measurement of Leq (10 s) from the real running condition of each type of vehicles. 针对色觉异常人群在不良可视环境下对交通信号辨识困难的问题,基于目前医学上普遍认同的色盲可见光谱和色盲色彩软件,结合我国交通信号灯特点及色觉异常者的视觉特征,设计一种比较经济可行的解决方案。通过在常规信号灯设备上加装辅助信号灯,并利用软件模拟色觉异常者的视觉进行对比分析,选取对比高的颜色作为辅助灯的颜色。方案效果模拟验证结果显示,本设计方案的交通信号具有较好的可辨识度,能够提高交通安全,体现了以人为本的设计理念。 相似文献
