Joint Distortion Model for Progressive Image Transmission Using Error Correcting Arithmetic Codes

A novel joint source channel distortion model was proposed, which can essentially estimate the average distortion in progressive image transmission. To improve the precision of the model, the redundancy generated by a forbidden symbol in the arithmetic codes is used to distinguish the quantization distortion and the channel distortion, all the coefficients from the first error one to the end of the sequence are set to be a value within the variance range of the coefficients instead of zero, then the error propagation coming from the entropy coding can be essentially estimated, which is disregarded in the most conventional joint source channel coding (JSCC) systems. The precision of the model in terms of average peak-signal-to-noise has been improved about 0.5 dB compared to classical works. An efficient unequal error protection system based on the model is developed, and can be used in the wireless communication systems.     

RS乘积码译码算法研究

文章介绍了一种基于梯度算法的Turbo乘积码（以RS码作为分量码）的译码算法。该算法以迭代Chase-Ⅱ算法为基础,利用该算法译码得到的每行（或列）最优判决码D（m-1）来代替竞争码字C,节省了寻找C的过程,从而简化了外信息和软输出的计算。文章以RS（15,11）码为分量码进行了matlab仿真,仿真结果表明：该算法能在基本保持turbo乘积码和Chase算法译码性能基础上,提高译码速度,降低译码复杂度。     

关于二次变形模量试验的中德法规范对比*

针对海外工程采用不同规范而导致二次变形模量试验结果存在较大差异的问题,进行中、德、法规范的对比研究。从试验装置、试验过程、计算公式、结果分析等方面进行对比,并结合工程实例分析3个规范的适用范围。结果表明,中、德规范较为详细具体,试验过程和结果处理较为一致;法国规范则主要明确原则、方向,规定较为笼统,不利于指导现场试验,对于砂土地基,其计算结果偏于保守。建议在承接海外相关工程需要采用二次变形模量评价砂土地基处理效果时,宜优先采用中、德规范,避免采用法国规范。     

中日综合管廊设计规范的对比研究

以实现综合管廊轻量化、标准化建设为发展目标,为借鉴国外发达国家的建设经验和设计理念,分别从总体设计、结构设计和抗震设计三方面对比分析了中日现行综合管廊技术规程的相关规定。结果表明:我国管廊标准断面的净宽和净高均大于日本;结构上的作用种类及荷载计算方法上,两国较为接近,部分取值日本更为保守,但是结构设计计算原则和弯角部位的处理上,我国的设计裕度更大;虽然日本管廊规范中的抗震设计计算方法的参考性不高,但其设计理念有助于减少设计工作量。

Rotational equations usable for railway wheelsets

The Euler equation is a correct way for writing rotational moments of solids. But it is simple only if written in rotating frames. Applying it to railway wheelsets is difficult because it necessitates using the Euler angles, or Euler parameters, combined to rotation matrices or, numerically more stable, quaternions. Euler angles can be avoided in railway specific codes, by writing dynamical equations in track frames. However, academic literature [Landau LD, Lifshitz EM. Mechanics (Institute of Physical Problems, USSR Academy of Sciences, Moscow), Vol. 1, Course of theoretical physics. 21st English ed. Oxford (UK): Elsevier; 1960; Shabana AA, Zaazaa KE, Sugiyama H. Railroad vehicle dynamics. CRC Press; 2008.] does not provide simple solutions as to how properly writing equations of gyroscopic moments in no rotating frames. This paper describes how it is possible, owing to an approximation validated for railway applications, to avoid Euler angles and rotation matrices, while correctly taking into account gyroscopic effects. Using a most severe example, emphasising gyroscopic effects, it is demonstrated that a fast specific code using the approximation provides results equivalent to those of an multi body system generalised code with no approximation.     

Codes From Strongly Regular (α,β)-reguli

Strongly regular (α,β)-reguli are a class of incidence structures with given conditions which were introduced by Hamilton and Mathon. We introduce two classes of codes constructed from strongly regular(α,β)-reguli within PG(k-1,q). The codes are related with two-weight codes intimately.     

基于不同规范的连续梁桥确定性及可靠性对比分析

针对分别采用《公路钢筋混凝土及预应力混凝土桥涵设计规范》(JTG 3362—2018、JTG D62—2004、JTJ 023—1985)设计的满堂支架现浇施工连续梁桥进行确定性和可靠性对比分析,通过有限元程序对成桥阶段选取的典型截面可靠指标进行计算。结果表明,确定性分析和可靠性分析结果有不同规律,不能单从确定性分析结果的大小来判断结构安全储备,需将确定性分析与可靠性分析相结合,才能对结构有合理准确的判断与评价。     

二次扩展复数旋转码及其对偶码

扩展复数旋转的基础上,提出了二次扩展复数旋转码及其对偶码的概念。就它们的特性作了初步的讨论,并给出了它们的生成矩阵的构造方式及主要参数。经过与扩展复数旋转码和其对偶码相比较,可以看出它们也是一类码率高、纠错能力强的差错控制码。
