Reliability analysis of a bulk carrier in ultimate limit state under combined global and local loads in the hogging and alternate hold loading condition

The alternate hold still-water loading in hogging combined with wave loading is critical for the safe design of bulk carriers. The ultimate longitudinal strength of the hull girder of bulk carriers in this condition has been found to be considerably reduced by the action of local lateral pressure loads. In the present paper, an interaction equation based on the ultimate hull girder strength assessment obtained by nonlinear finite element analyses is adopted to consider the relationship between ultimate longitudinal bending capacity and average external sea pressure over the bottom. This interaction equation is used as the basis for the failure function. The annual probability of failure is obtained by FORM analysis considering two typical load cases, namely, pure longitudinal hogging bending moment and combined global hogging bending moment and local lateral pressure loads. The effect of heavy weather avoidance on the failure probability is evaluated. The results show that the local lateral pressure has a significant influence on the annual probability of failure of bulk carriers in the hogging and alternate hold loading condition.

通过对散货船共同结构规范（CSR）的设计应用研究,对散货船共同结构规范在船舶结构设计应用中的若干问题进行了探讨,总结该规范与以往规范的一些不同之处,指出应用该规范进行船舶设计时应注意的一些问题,提出自己对规范的理解和看法,并结合实船进行了对比研究。     

某散货船舱口围肘板趾端开裂原因及节点优化方案分析

文章首先分析了某46 000 DWT散货船纵向舱口围端部肘板趾端开裂的原因,根据分析结果提出了节点优化方案;采用有限元直接计算的分析方法比较了修改前后节点的应力状况,并进行验证;提出了舱口围端部肘板修复时切割、装配和焊接的要求。研究结果为散货船舱口围板高应力区域的节点设计提供了理论和实船验证依据。     

The Northern Sea Route competitiveness for oil tankers

This article proposes a decision model for a ship-owner who contemplates the benefits of sailing north via the Northern Sea Route (NSR) or south via the Suez Canal Route (SCR) when transporting oil products from Russia to Asia. The decision is based on potential cost and transit time savings that change on a monthly basis according to sailing conditions and the area along the NSR. This study is applied to a 1A Ice-Class Panamax tanker vessel sailing through the NSR compared to a Panamax tanker vessel sailing through the SCR. It concludes that the NSR provides a competitive advantage in the months from August to November when conservative assumptions on ice conditions (higher bound) are considered for the level of ice thickness encountered along the route and from July to November when a lower bound is assumed.

基于专家系统的船舶配载智能控制策略

利用专家系统控制策略的思想,提出船舶装卸载分轮次序的控制原则、约束条件及实现原理。通过控制船舶的浮态提高船舶压载水的速率及排放能力,保证货物装载过程中压载水与货物操作相适应。利用专家系统的反向推理和正向推理相结合多级控制的控制策略,确定了船舶配载方案及船舶装卸载分轮次序,并提供船舶货物装卸载操作每一步的货物装舱顺序、时间及船舶浮态等性能指标,并通过实船计算验证系统的准确性和可操作性。本方法能迅速、准确地确定船舶配载方案及操作步骤,提高船舶的配载效率,避免船舶配载中的盲目性。     

基于进化算法的散货船结构疲劳破损检验计划研究

采用进化算法为优化手段，疲劳累积失效概率为约束条件，检验费用为目标函数，检验时间间隔及检验方式为优化变量，根据船体构件本身的疲劳特性进行疲劳破损检验优化研究，选出检验费用最少的最优检验方案，并给出了计算实例。     

Corrosion analysis of bulk carriers, Part I: operational parameters influencing corrosion rates

This paper considers the physical processes of corrosion that occur in bulk carriers. Three main types of corrosive environments are identified within a bulk carrier, namely, immersion in seawater, exposure to an enclosed atmosphere, and exposure to porous media. Fundamental variables influencing corrosion in each environment of the cargo hold region, ballast tanks and void spaces are identified. These serve to identify operational parameters that affect bulk carrier corrosion. It is proposed that such parameters can be used to obtain corrosion rate databases representative of vessel operation.

文中通过梳理国际公约中对散货船特殊要求的修正情况,明确了以散装形式装运干散货的船舶如何满足SOLAS公约中对散货船的特殊要求,并结合笔者的检查经验,总结归纳了散货船的检查要点。
