The existing studies concerning the influence of weather on public transport have mainly focused on the impacts of average weather conditions on the aggregate ridership of public transit. Not much research has examined these impacts at disaggregate levels. This study aims to fill this gap by accounting for intra-day variations in weather as well as public transport ridership and investigating the effect of weather on the travel behavior of individual public transit users. We have collected smart card data for public transit and meteorological records from Shenzhen, China for the entire month of September 2014. The data allow us to establish association between the system-wide public transit ridership and weather condition on not only daily, but also hourly basis and for each metro station. In addition, with the detailed trip records of individual card holders, the travel pattern by public transit are constructed for card holders and this pattern is linked to the weather conditions he/she has experienced. Multivariate modeling approach is applied to analyze the influence of weather on public transit ridership and the travel behavior of regular transit users. Results show that some weather elements have more influence than others on public transportation. Metro stations located in urban areas are more vulnerable to outdoor weather in regard to ridership. Regular transit users are found to be rather resilient to changes in weather conditions. Findings contribute to a more in-depth understanding of the relationship between everyday weather and public transit travels and also provide valuable information for short-term scheduling in transit management. 相似文献

Electric transit buses have been recognized as an important alternative to diesel buses with many environmental benefits. Electric buses employing lithium titanate batteries can provide uninterrupted transit service thanks to their ability of fast charging. However, fast charging may result in high demand charges which will increase the fuel costs thereby limiting the electric bus market penetration. In this paper, we simulated daily charging patterns and demand charges of a fleet of electric buses in Tallahassee, Florida and identified an optimal charging strategy to minimize demand charges. It was found that by using a charging threshold of 60–64%, a $160,848 total saving in electricity cost can be achieved for a five electric bus fleet, comparing to a charging threshold of 0–28%. In addition, the impact of fleet sizes on the fuel cost was investigated. Fleets of 4 and 12 buses will achieve the lowest cost per mile driven when one fast charger is installed. 相似文献

Remote user authentication is essential in distributed network environment to protect unauthorized access of a networked system. However, most of those existing remote user authentication schemes have not provided the user identity anonymity, while user anonymity is particularly important in some practical applications. 面向冬奥主干通道兴延高速,以驾驶人适应性为导向,构建一种面向人因的车路协同系统硬件在环效能测试平台,针对多种道路条件、交通状态、特殊事件等面向高速公路设计13种交通情境,从主、客观2个维度实现车路协同系统包括主观感受、高效性、安全性、生态性、舒适性、有效性6个方面的驾驶人适应性评价,分析车路协同驾驶状态下的综合评估指标及影响机理。主观评估结果显示,车路协同技术对驾驶人有积极作用,52%的被试认为车载预警信息可以使行车过程更安全。客观运行结果表明:由于车路协同状态下驾驶人对于前方道路危险状况的可预知性,导致驾驶人提前降速,运行速度降低,效率有所下降;车路协同条件下的加速度和换道次数明显减小,其安全性显著提升;由于车路协同系统避免了驾驶人对于突发危险状况的紧急制动,因此车辆的油耗、排放均明显降低,其生态性改善效果显著;归因于驾驶人对于车路协同系统熟悉程度不足,导致舒适度各系统存在不一致的结论,也表明驾驶人对于车路协同系统的接受度和信任度均有待进一步提高;驾驶人在车路协同条件下可获取不同路段的限速值和超速提示,其有效性表现出明显的优势,速度跟随比有显著提升。所构建的测试平台和指标体系为进一步深层次挖掘车路协同的作用机理奠定了基础。 相似文献
