TRESIS: A transportation,land use and environmental strategy impact simulator for urban areas 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The Institute of Transport Studies has developed a Transportation and Environment Strategy Impact Simulator (TRESIS) as a decision support system to assist planners to predict the impact of transport strategies and to make recommendations based on those predictions. A key focus of the simulator is the richness of policy instruments such as new public transport, new toll roads, congestion pricing, gas guzzler taxes, changing residential densities, introducing designated bus lanes, implementing fare changes, altering parking policy, introducing more flexible work practices, and the introduction of more fuel efficient vehicles. The appropriateness of mixtures of policy instruments is gauged in terms of a series of performance indicators such as impacts on greenhouse gas emissions, accessibility, equity, air quality and household consumer surplus. In this paper we introduce TRESIS to the research community, focussing on the structure of the system and the diversity of applications. Applications are presented to illustrate the diversity and richness of TRESIS as a policy advisory tool. 相似文献

This paper presents an agent-based approach used to design a Transportation Regulation Support System (TRSS), that reports the network activity in real-time and thus assists the bus network regulators. The objective is to combine the functionalities of the existing information system with the functionalities of a decision support system in order to propose a generic model of a traffic regulation support system. Unlike the other approaches that only deal with a specific task, the original feature of our generic model is that it proposes a global approach to the regulation function under normal conditions (network monitoring, dynamic timetable management) and under disrupted conditions (disturbance assessment and action planning of feasible solutions). Following the introduction, the second section presents the notions of the domain and highlights the main regulation problems. The third section details and motivates our choice of the components of the generic model. Based on our generic model, in the fourth section, we present a TRSS prototype called SATIR (Système Automatique de Traitement des Incidents en Réseau – Automatic System for Network Incident Processing) that we have developed. SATIR has been tested on the Brussels transportation network (STIB). The results are presented in the fifth section. Information on link flows in a vehicular traffic network is critical for developing long-term planning and/or short-term operational management strategies. In the literature, most studies to develop such strategies typically assume the availability of measured link traffic information on all network links, either through manual survey or advanced traffic sensor technologies. In practical applications, the assumption of installed sensors on all links is generally unrealistic due to budgetary constraints. It motivates the need to estimate flows on all links of a traffic network based on the measurement of link flows on a subset of links with suitably equipped sensors. This study, addressed from a budgetary planning perspective, seeks to identify the smallest subset of links in a network on which to locate sensors that enables the accurate estimation of traffic flows on all links of the network under steady-state conditions. Here, steady-state implies that the path flows are static. A “basis link” method is proposed to determine the locations of vehicle sensors, by using the link-path incidence matrix to express the network structure and then identifying its “basis” in a matrix algebra context. The theoretical background and mathematical properties of the proposed method are elaborated. The approach is useful for deploying long-term planning and link-based applications in traffic networks. 相似文献
