The airport planning and decision making process exhibits various trade‐offs and complications due to the large number of stakeholders having different, and sometimes conflicting, objectives regarding the assessment of airport performance. As a result, the airport performance assessment necessitates the use of advanced modelling capabilities and decision support systems or tools in order to capture the multifaceted aspects, interests and measures of airport performance like capacity, delays, safety, security, noise and cost‐effectiveness. Presently, airport decision makers lack decision support tools able to provide an integrated view of total airport (both airside and landside) operations and analyse at a reasonable effort and decision‐oriented manner the various trade‐offs involved among different airport performance measures. The objective of this paper is twofold: (i) to describe the decision‐oriented modelling framework and development process of a decision support system for total airport operations management and planning, and (ii) to demonstrate the decision support capabilities and basic modelling functionalities of the proposed system. 交通运输系统工程是系统工程理论与交通运输专业实践紧密结合的一门专业系统工程。 我国自20世纪80年代引入这一专业术语至今,在应用系统工程理论方法于交通运输系统的过程 中,形成了交通运输专业系统工程的特色。本文在回顾交通运输系统工程近半个世纪发展历程 的基础上,分析了我国交通运输系统发展的理论与实践演化过程;结合影响交通运输系统的要素 与重大活动,梳理提炼交通运输系统工程发展的阶段性特征,阐述不同阶段交通运输系统工程发 展理论进展与工程实践成就。考虑到过去近40年来我国社会与经济发展水平已有了较大变化, 本文提出了交通运输系统工程理论与方法的研究要点,展望了我国交通运输工程实践中面临的 难题。研究认为:在新的历史时期,我国交通运输系统工程面临新的发展机遇,应结合新时期交 通运输需求的时空特性与交通供给模式的演变,重点研究交通运输系统服务效能提升理论与方 法,攻克碳中和目标下的运输供给技术与管理机制建设难题,切实解决交通运输工程实践与政策 领域内日益复杂的问题,从学术、理论及应用上提升交通强国和交通运输系统工程发展水平。  相似文献

The railway multi-body software developed for more than 20 years by INRETS (now IFSTTAR), under the name VOCO®, has been dedicated from the origin to highly nonlinear elements, such as the dry friction dampers of freight bogies and the wheel–rail contact based on measured profiles. A second important step has been the discovery of a particular method in order to simulate on sinuous tracks. In the aim of industrial applications, the specification has always been to reach the goal of real time. Growing pressure to limit greenhouse gas emissions is changing the way businesses operate. This paper presents the trade-offs between cost, service quality (represented by time window guarantees), and emissions of an urban pickup and delivery system under these changing pressures. A model, developed by the authors in ArcGIS, is used to evaluate these trade-offs for a specific case study involving a real fleet with specific operational characteristics. The problem is modeled as an emissions minimization vehicle routing problem with time windows. Analyses of different external policies and internal operational changes provide insight into the impact of these changes on cost, service quality, and emissions. Specific consideration of the influence of time windows, customer density, and vehicle choice are included.The results show a stable relationship between monetary cost and kilograms of CO2, with each kilogram of CO2 associated with a $3.50 increase in cost, illustrating the influence of fuel use on both cost and emissions. In addition, customer density and time window length are strongly correlated with monetary cost and kilograms of CO2 per order. The addition of 80 customers or extending the time window 100 minutes would save approximately $3.50 and 1 kilogram of CO2 per order. Lastly, the evaluation of four different fleets illustrates significant environmental and monetary gains can be achieved through the use of hybrid vehicles.The results demonstrate there is not a trade-off between CO2 emissions and cost, but that these two metrics trend together. This suggests the most effective way to encourage fleet operators to limit emissions is to increase the cost of fuel or CO2 production, as this is consistent with current incentives that exist to reduce cost, and therefore emissions.  相似文献

Truck queuing at marine terminal gates has long been recognized as a source of emissions problem due to the large number of trucks idling. For this reason, there is a great deal of interest among the different stakeholders to lessen the severity of the problem. An approach being experimented by some terminals to reduce truck queuing at the terminal is to provide live views of their gates via webcams. An assumption made by the terminals in this method is that truck dispatchers and drivers will make rational decisions regarding their departure times such that there will be less fluctuations in truck arrivals at the terminal based on the live information. However, it is clear that if dispatchers send trucks to the terminal whenever the truck queues are short and not send trucks when the truck queues are long, it could lead to a perpetual whip lash effect. This study explores the predictive strategies that need to be made by the various dispatchers to achieve the desired effects (i.e. steady arrival of trucks and hence less queuing at the seaport terminal gates). This problem is studied with the use of an agent-based simulation model and the solution to the well known El Farol Bar problem. Results demonstrate that truck depots can manage (without any collaboration with one another) to minimize congestion at seaport terminal gates by using the provided real-time gate congestion information and some simple logics for estimating the expected truck wait time.  相似文献
