Research on stepless transmission utilizing noncircular gears

In view of the lack of systemic analysis for stepless transmission using noncircular gears, two basic noncircular gear units, an addition unit adopting differential mechanism and a multiplication unit applying a fixed gear train, are proposed. Then, the design methods of the noncircular gear pair of each unit, transmission ratio relationship, rotation angle relationship and key parameters with specific physical meanings are studied. The adjusting properties, composing strategy and varying range of transmission ratio etc. are investigated in detail for each unit. Following this, several examples of using a noncircular gear pair in the units and their manipulation technique are introduced.

形状记忆合金梁动力稳定性

基于形状记忆合金材料的热：力学行为和拟弹性行为本构关系及梁的动力学平衡方程，建立了该类梁横向振动非线性动力学模型．用平衡态定性分析法讨论了形状记忆合金梁的稳定性与材料相变的关系．研究表明，梁的横向振动平衡态的稳定性与材料相的稳定性有对应关系．在马氏体相稳定的低温状态，系统有3个不动点，1个为稳定中心，另外2个为不稳定鞍点；在马氏体与奥氏体共存的中间温度状态，系统有5个不动点，3个为稳定的中心，2个为不稳定的鞍点；在奥氏体相稳定的高温度状态，系统有唯一稳定不动点。     

A study on the determinants of private car ownership in China: Findings from the panel data

This study examines the determinants of private car ownership in China. The target cities are 32 provincial capital cities and the target period is from 2001 to 2011. In order to capture the individual effects (heterogeneity), the fixed and random effect models are adopted and compared, in which 8 explanatory variables are selected to include economic characteristics, urban characteristics, and transportation characteristics. Moreover, double natural logarithm model is employed to measure the elastic relationship between the private car ownership and regressors. The estimated results show that the fixed effect model performs better than pooled regression model and the random effect model. In addition, there are variations of private car ownership among cities and regions. Finally, the influence of factors responsible for these variations is also presented and discussed in this paper.
