长时程增强(LTP)是突触传递功能可塑性的重要表现形式,是研究学习与记忆的细胞模型。长持续LTP(LL-LTP)是进行长时记忆研究的细胞模型。近年来的研究资料表明,静寂突触转化为功能性突触可能是LTP维持的重要机制。LTP形成后,可以因生理性刺激或外源性刺激而出现反转。由于LTP具有可反转性和反转输入通路的特异性,采用特异电刺激干预成瘾记忆,以创建不损伤正常脑功能的特异的“成瘾记忆丧失疗法”是我们追寻的目标。

A cell transmission model for dynamic lane reversal with autonomous vehicles

Autonomous vehicles admit consideration of novel traffic behaviors such as reservation-based intersection controls and dynamic lane reversal. We present a cell transmission model formulation for dynamic lane reversal. For deterministic demand, we formulate the dynamic lane reversal control problem for a single link as an integer program and derive theoretical results. In reality, demand is not known perfectly at arbitrary times in the future. To address stochastic demand, we present a Markov decision process formulation. Due to the large state size, the Markov decision process is intractable. However, based on theoretical results from the integer program, we derive an effective heuristic. We demonstrate significant improvements over a fixed lane configuration both on a single bottleneck link with varying demands, and on the downtown Austin network.     

Application of the Principles of ICZM for Restoring the Goro Lagoon

The Goro lagoon has been adversely affected by intense anthropogenic impacts, which have resulted in deterioration of the lagoon's environmental health. An intervention at the lagoon's secondary mouth was done in order to improve the water exchange between the lagoon and the sea and to reclaim the lagoon's floor. This intervention comprised reprofiling the submerged sandspit platform and the tidal channel and nourishing the barrier island. After completion of the intervention, clam production increased by 28% and the lagoon's ecological quality substantially improved. The project utilized some of the eight principles of integrated coastal zone management to reach the best compromise between the socioeconomic needs and preservation of the lagoon. The realization of the successful intervention was first secured in a memorandum of agreement that was drafted by negotiations between the Emilia-Romagna Region Council, the Province of Ferrara, Goro Municipality, and the local fishermen's association. Two committees managed the intervention and ensured that all stakeholders participated in the decisionmaking process. The collaboration between public and private sectors enabled the forging of a cost-effective intersectoral intervention with a long-term perspective, which fulfilled the specific ecological needs of the lagoon and guaranteed sustainable development for the lagoon's adjacent human communities.
