Travel patterns in Dutch metropolitan cities: The importance of external trips

Using a variety of data sources, decentralisation of population and employment in four Dutch urban areas (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht) over the last 20 years, is analysed. It is found that suburbanisation, plus an ever growing car share, has increased the number of external journeys related to the metropolitan cities enormously. With the use of the 1982 National Travel Survey, current travel patterns in and around the metropolitan cities are studied: the importance of external trips for urban transport planning shows clearly. They account for about half the number of city related car trips, and for nearly three quarters of the total vehicle kilometres of travel within the city.(requests for reprints)     

日本铁路智能运输系统(RITS)--CyberRail框架及研究现状

介绍日本于2000年提出的综合利用通信、信息技术构件未来日本IT铁路系统研究计划———Cyber Rail。该系统是一个参考的模式,用以建立标准和通用的框架,其基本理念在于旅行的个性化服务。综合利用需求、车辆和线路类信息,实现联运旅客援助和个人导航、运输计划优化以及智能列车控制的功能;以连续定位、实时高效通讯、信息智能处理和分类管理、服务终端等为关键技术。目前已经完成用户需求、总体结构和Cyber Navi试验系统等若干基本技术及标准化问题的研究和建立。提出中国RITS中联运旅客智能导航、智能列车时刻表和基于安全的智能列车控制的研究内容及其可行性。     

美国加州压载水管理的新规定

美国加州国土委员会对来自北美西海岸并挂靠加州港口的船舶实施压载水管理的新规定于2006年3月22日生效。通过对新规定的深入探讨,结合加州国土委员会检查官对船舶压载水管理现场检查的重点,强调船长/船舶压载水管理负责人对此新规定的学习、理解、执行和满足的必要性;同时,提醒预抵达美国加州的船舶,在压载水管理方面必须建立严格的记录,熟悉新规定的相关要求。     

全面推进船型标准化 提高京杭运河竞争力

发展内河航运涉及船舶、航道、港口及信息技术等诸多要素。在京杭运河实施船型标准化示范工程,目的就是保护运河水环境,改善广大船民的生产和生活条件,提高船舶营运效率,降低运输成本,提升内河航运的竞争力。     

Exchange of carbon by an upwelling filament off Cape Ghir (NW Africa)

We have studied the physicochemical and biological structure of a permanent filament off Cape Ghir (31°N) and estimated the transport of organic matter associated with it. The seaward filament exported coastal upwelled water, with low temperature and salinity and high organic matter, to the open ocean even in the absence of upwelling-favorable conditions. The estimated flux of excess organic carbon (the nonrefractory pool) expressed in annual basis yielded a value of 3.1×10⁹ kg C, from which 90% was transported as dissolved organic carbon. This flux represents about 63% of the average annual primary production for the region of study. We conclude that the net-offshore transport may contribute to the enrichment of offshore oligotrophic waters throughout the year, partly explaining the metabolic imbalance found in open ocean waters of the subtropical Northeast Atlantic.     

武广客运专线红黏土抗剪强度参数试验对比和分析

对武广客运专线红黏土的大量试验表明,剪切与三轴压缩实验测得的抗剪强度参数值不一致,而且直剪试验内摩擦角大于三轴试验,两种试验的黏聚力互有大小。基于上述实验结果,从试验方法和条件的角度分析了两种实验所得参数不一致的原因,并给出了三轴压缩试验和抗剪强度参数之间的线性关系式。建议今后在给出红黏土的黏聚力和内摩擦角时应标明是由何种试验方式所测得的,并提出了红黏土抗剪强度参数的选取原则。     

我国铁路运输轿车载运工具的优化配置

根据系统理论建立铁路运输轿车载运工具的技术经济综合评价指标体系,并运用基于模糊理论的多层次模糊综合评价与层次分析相结合的方法,对各种轿车载运工具的技术经济特性进行综合评价和比较,提出我国铁路运输轿车载运工具的优化配置方案和发展方向。研究结果表明:JSQ5运输车、J5SQ改造家畜车和正在研制中的新型车等轿车载运工具的综合技术经济性最好,应成为未来我国铁路发展轿车运输的主要载运工具;50英尺和20英尺集装箱因其在既有数量和代用性、联运性方面的较强优势,应有针对性的配置使用;继续大力发展板架式集装箱,提高载运工具在上下层高度调节方面的柔性,增加SUV等大型轿车的装载能力。     

提高中心区公共交通服务水平的新思路——以天河地区环形小巴方案为例

根据广州天河地区公共交通改善的实例,提出了通过结合城市用地及路网的特点,在城市中心区设置环形小巴改善轨道交通衔接以提高公共交通服务水平的新思路,具有一定的参考意义.
