Governing Coastal Spaces: The Case of Disappearing Science in Integrated Coastal Zone Management

Scientific knowledge is central to “good” governance of coastal spaces: developing methods through which the complexities of the coastal zone can be understood by stakeholders to improve the sustainable management of coastal systems. Enhancing our knowledge of the range of processes that shape coastal spaces and define the total behavioural environment of the system remains a primary challenge for the coastal research community. However, this article raises the argument that current approaches to Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM)—the preferred governing framework for the coastal environment, do not give sufficient emphasis to this fundamental need. Improving the basic scientific knowledge that underpins policymaking at the coast is argued to be urgently needed. Issues such as that of developing a communality of the purpose and approach between stakeholders within the coastal zone (through conflict resolution and access to information, for example) seem to claim the rights of the integrated management research agenda. However, the very nature of ICZM as “worthwhile coastal management” requires that integrated management represents more than a governing framework. Successful integration in coastal management must also be underpinned by knowledge of the integrated behavior of the system. Science has an increasingly marginalized position within ICZM and as a result geographers, contributing knowledge of the patterns and processes of the human and environmental landscapes, are also becoming a disappearing breed in integrated coastal management.     

一种小型水下滑翔机的设计和运动模拟

描述了一种小型水下滑翔机的设计和原理样机制造。与一般水下滑翔机不同的是,设计中将用于改变净浮力的水囊放置在该水下滑翔机的艏部。这样的设计能够为水下滑翔机滑翔姿态改变时提供正向力矩,减小系统调节时间。最后,建立原理样机的动力学方程并仿真模拟原理样机的下潜滑翔运动。仿真结果显示,水囊的布置确实能够减少水下滑翔机在姿态改变时的调节时间。     

驳船升沉运动和波浪联合作用对沉管管段运动特性的影响

文章探讨驳船吊挂沉放法进行沉管管段的沉放作业过程中,驳船升沉运动和波浪联合作用对沉管管段运动特性的影响。采用边界元方法求解作用在沉管管段的波浪力,驳船升沉运动考虑为简谐运动,应用四阶Runge-Kutta方法求解沉管管段的运动方程。通过数值算例分析,探讨了驳船做不同振幅与不同相位的升沉运动和波浪联合作用下沉管管段的运动特性。     

一种适用于船舶时域运动快速计算的混合方法

在时域内建立Rankine源法和时域Green函数法互相匹配的数学模型,控制面上的解既满足内部自由面条件,又满足远方辐射条件。由匹配数学模型可知只有控制面涉及到时域Green函数且与主尺度满足比列关系,因此不需每次都制表插值,实现了时域内船舶运动快速计算。将文中方法应用于零航速船舶瞬时运动数值计算,结果表明该方法具有良好的精确性、稳定性、高效性和普适性。     

基于正交设计和CFD模拟的Spar平台螺旋侧板水动力优化设计研究

螺旋侧板能够有效抑制Spar平台涡激运动,为选取较优的螺旋侧板参数,文章基于正交设计理论,采用数值计算方法求解RANS方程,研究侧板螺距比、侧板高度和来流速度等因素对Spar平台横向力系数的影响。采用极差分析法和方差分析法处理计算数据,得到各Spar平台螺旋侧板参数及其交互作用对减涡效果的影响程度。     

Mathematical model of small water-plane area twin-hull and application in marine simulator

Small water-plane area twin-hull（SWATH） has drawn the attention of many researchers due to its good sea-keeping ability.In this paper,MMG＇s idea of separation was used to perform SWATH movement modeling and simulation;respectively the forces and moment of SWATH were divided into bare hull,propeller,rudder at the fluid hydrodynamics,etc.Wake coefficient at the propellers which reduces thrust coefficient,and rudder mutual interference forces among the hull and propeller,for the calculation of SWATH,were all considered.The fourth-order Runge-Kutta method of integration was used by solving differential equations,in order to get SWATH＇s movement states.As an example,a turning test at full speed and full starboard rudder of ‘Seagull＇ craft is shown.The simulation results show the SWATH＇s regular pattern and trend of motion.It verifies the correctness of the mathematical model of the turning movement.The SWATH＇s mathematical model is applied to marine simulator in order to train the pilots or seamen,or safety assessment for ocean engineering project.Lastly,the full mission navigation simulating system（FMNSS） was determined to be a successful virtual reality technology application sample in the field of navigation simulation.     

基于船波相对运动的船艏砰击仿真方法

在分析船波相对运动表达式的基础上计算船艏典型剖面的船波相对运动,探讨船艏入水过程中的砰击问题,对比船体某剖面3种入水仿真模型计算所得的砰击载荷,讨论三维外形和航行速度对船艏剖面砰击外载荷的影响。在该分析中,船体在规则波浪中的运动用基于三维势流理论的水动力软件AQWA计算获得,船波相对运动通过理论推导计算获得,用对船艏结构施加强迫运动的方式模拟船波相对运动的真实过程。采用An—sys／Ls—Dyna软件的流固耦合分析进行入水仿真,流体划分为ALE体积网格,船艏视为刚体,划分为Lagrange有限元网格。对比结果表明：在三维模型中,相邻剖面引起剖面最大压力点处的液面变化对该点的砰击压力有增大效果,航速有增大剖面砰击压力的作用,减小船艏底部纵向斜升角有利于降低砰击压力。
