Criteria of human-computer interface design for computer assisted surgery systems

In recent years, computer assisted surgery (CAS) systems become more and more common in clinical practices, but few specific design criteria have been proposed for human-computer interface (HCI) in CAS systems. This paper tried to give universal criteria of HCI design for CAS systems through introduction of demonstration application, which is total knee replacement (TKR) with a nonimage-based navigation system. A typical computer assisted process can be divided into four phases: the preoperative planning phase, the intraoperative registration phase, the intraoperative navigation phase and finally the postoperative assessment phase. The interface design for four steps is described respectively in the demonstration application. These criteria this paper summarized can be useful to software developers to achieve reliable and e?ective interfaces for new CAS systems more easily.     

大型LNG动力船液舱晃荡耦合作用下运动响应计算

由于LNG动力船大量装载液化天然气,其液货装载罐体积庞大且液货装载重量巨大,其由于液货罐内的液化货物对于船体运动与水动力的影响不可忽视。本文针对1艘具有C型液货罐的LNG动力船,基于势流理论,使用三维方法开展了水动力计算研究,对船体运动做计算预报,对比分析了晃荡对于船体运动响应的影响。     

考虑车辆排队长度的动态用户最优路径选择模型研究

基于交通流理论，建立了路段下游交叉路口前车辆排队长度、路段车流密度的数学模型，提出了新的路段阻抗函数。运用该阻抗函数建立基于路径的动态用户最优路径选择变分不等式模型，给出了该模型的启发式算法。实例分析表明，当路段上有排队时，若将车辆排队处理为质点，则低估车辆路段走行时间，被低估的相对差距约为22％；新的阻抗函数能较好反映路段的阻抗。     

A novel active contour model for medical image segmentation

A novel segmentation method for medical image with intensity inhomogeneity is introduced. In the proposed active contour model, both region and gradient information are taken into consideration. The former, i.e., region-based fitting energy, draws upon the region information and guarantees the accurate extraction of inhomogeneous image’s local information. The latter, i.e., an edge indicator, weights the length penalizing term to consider the gradient constrain. Moreover, signed distance penalizing term is also added to ensure accurate computation and avoid the time-consuming re-initialization of evolving level set function. Experiments for synthetic and real images demonstrate the feasibility and superiority of the proposed model.
