沪宁城际铁路开工 提速长三角同城化进程

7月1日上午，沪宁城际铁路开工动员大会在南京举行。11时，随着中共中央政治局委员、上海市委书记俞正声宣布工程开工，《中长期铁路网规划》的重点项目、长三角的重要基础设施、上海和江苏人民期盼已久的现代化铁路——沪宁城际铁路正式开工建设。沪宁城际铁路全长300公里，全线设21个车站，建设工期为两年，计划2010年7月1日开通运营。届时，沪宁城际铁路将大量开行高速动车组列车，列车最小间隔3分钟，沪宁两地可以实现公交化运输，上海直达南京仅需1个多小时。该项目作为国家中长期铁路发展规划的重要组成部分，对完善长江三角洲地区综合交通体系、缓解区域交通运输紧张状况、促进长三角地区经济社会协调联动发展具有十分重要的意义。

Shanghai-NanJlng Inter-city Railway promotes the One Urban Process of Yangtze River Delta

On July 1 am, 2008, the Shanghai-Nanjing Inter-city Railway mobilization meeting was held in Nanjing. At 11：00, the member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, and the Secretary of Shanghai Municipal CPC Committee Mr. Yu Zhengsheng announced the Shanghai-Nanjing Inter-city Railway which is one of the key projects in the Medium and Longterm Railway Network Plan, critical infrastructure in Yangtze River Delta, long-awaited by Shanghai and Jiangsu People was started. The length of Shanghai-Nanjing Inter-city Railway is 300 km, sets up 21 stations, with two-year construction period, and it is planed to be opened to traffic on July 1, 2010. By then, Shanghai-Nanjing inter-city rail line will open large number of high-speed EMUs train, the train minimum interval is of three minutes, Shanghai-Nanjing can be linked by public transport, Shanghai to Nanjing can only need over one hour. As an important part of national medium and long-term railway development plan, this project is of great significance in improving the Yangtze River Delta region integrated transport system, easing the transportation tension, promoting the coordinated economic and social linkage development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
