罗马角斗娱乐起因探究

本文着重论述了罗马角斗士的起源，对角斗娱乐的兴衰原因进行了系统的总结。第一，罗马角斗士的研究在国外堪称发达，但是从现代文明的角度去认识、比较这一残酷娱乐游戏的研究并不够深入；第二，西方人对于罗马角斗士起源的分析存在着很大的差异，如果从旁观者（如东方人）的角度来看的话，这一问题似乎又不那么复杂；第三，罗马角斗士的发展既有必然的因素．也存在偶然的事件，其中文明的进化是关键，而所谓基督教扩展的因素并不应该加以过分渲染。

On the Origin of the Roman Gladiatorial Game

This paper mainly analyzes the origin,development and the rise and fall of the Roman gladiatorial game.The author believes that:firstly,there are studies of gladiatorial games in the west,but few of them have looked at the cruel game in light of modern civilization;secondly,though there are disagreements among westerners concerning the origin of gladiators,to onlookers,the issue isn't complicated enough to cause disagreements;thirdly,there are necessities and contingencies for the rise and fall of gladiatorial games,however,the Roman civilization is an important factor in the development of gladiatorial games and the impact of Christianity shouldn't be overstated.
