LED Lighting in Urban Rail Transit Lighting System

As a new type of green lighting, compared with the traditional lighting, LED lighting has the features of energy-saving, cost-effectiveness and safety which are more in line with the concept of low-carbon environmental protection. The paper introduces the working principle and characteristics of the LED lighting, expounds the lighting situation and existing problems in Beijing urban rail transit. Through acquisition of experimental data of LED lighting in the stations, the paper analyzes the prospects of LED lighting use in urban rail transit.
