Discussion on Large Diameter Bored Piles in Deep Waters

To ensure the construction quality and safety of large diameter bored piles in deep waters,it is crucial to apply the leading construction technologies with steel liners that are fabricated with appropriate wall thickness and to a high level of quality.By rational designing and utilizing of the steel liners for the bored piles with varying cross sections in deep waters,the bearing capacity can be increased and the cost can be reduced.Problems and countermeasures in respect to the construction of raked bored piles are also discussed in this paper.
