| Abstract: | The American Woods Hole Oceanography Institute is constructing a new concept ALVIN to take place of the original ALVIN in service.The new ALVIN will be launched in 2009.This project is built up through detailed research and demonstration by many American scientific research institutions.The development of new concept ALVIN is significant to guarantee the America's leadership in deep-sea research and technique.The content of the new generation ALVIN introduced in this paper consists main technical features,key techniques,construction cost and construction plan and so on. |
