Hierarchical coordination mechanisms within the supply-chain

Analysis is made on the operational coordination mechanisms between a producer and a supplier within a supply-chain having private local information. The hierarchical planning theory is adopted to de- scribe a particular link within the entire supply-chain network, the top-level standing for the producer and the base-level for the supplier. And both levels are coordinated by an increasing degree of anticipative inte- gration. Though there are some private information between producers and suppliers, some private infor- mation can be disclosed to influence the entire supply-chain achievement, which will make recommendations for the design of a supply contract.
