| Abstract: | In the process of gearing into other disciplines,intertextuality theory has been introduced into text translation study and has become a kind of workable method in translation study.This study explores the problem of the intertextual characteristics of metadiscourse and its translation from the perspective of intertextuality.By employing a research method of exemplification,the study conducts an analytical comparison of the intertextuality function of metadiscourse.It concludes that metadiscourse is the most extrovert markers in text.It offers visible traces for text translation and can exert beneficial influence to text translation. |
