Because of the contamination produced in welding titanium pipe process, the qualitly of the welding joint should be seriously weakened and the mechanical properties should be greatly lowered. The main formality of the joint contamination produced in welding process are analysized and the safeguards for protecting from the contamination are put forward correspornding. The result from practice has been proved that the contamination of the weld joint for the titanium pipe can be prevented effectively through controlling the welding environment,pre-cleaning and protecting during welding process,etc.
